The situation Eriksen now finds himself in reminds me of that old, well known Spanish proverb: do not put your testicles in the mouth of the dog until the moon shines on the fishes

Don't remind me. Turns out even if you wait for that moment, you still get banned from Crufts.

Is Ricky sacks any good? (God I hope so else I will get me tin hat on now) he reckons any deal will include Mariano Diaz and the sun are reporting it as well

I think RM want him more than they are admitting. Last year of contract, RM just have to appear they aren't too bothered and they know we'll be desperate to get something for him. We need a bidding war! How did we allow this to happen. I'm surprised Levy let it get to this point. I guess, what could he do?

I agree Madrid want him. I dont think he would have spoken out if there hadnt been contact and interest shown. Thats why I think he'll go but for less than Levy wants. If Madrid offer 45M would Levy say "no"? I wouldnt because I dont think his services for one year are worth a 45M plus his salary. Sucks but Madrid is in a superior position.

Yep, he's not going to be too keen to play on Thursday nights in Kazakhstan.

Doesn’t sound like many of their players are. Lindlof sounds like he wants to jump ship now with his agent touting him to Barcelona today.

Why any top player with ambition would go there as they currently are, unless chasing the money, is a mystery. Sure it may not last for years but at the moment I’d say they are about as attractive to join as arsenal, but at least they have a proper manager and are in london.

No doubt they are an absolute mess right now, money would be the only draw they have, don’t get me wrong they aren’t still a massive club but they aren’t goong to sort anything out in the short term.

They still think it’s 2009 and not 2019. Exhibit A, their current manager:

Solskjaer on transfers: "We're still in the market and looking to do some business. We're patient and we're Man United, we don't have to sell and we don't have to overpay either. You want the right players for the right price."

We can't afford to let him run his contract run down and go for free and Madrid will know this. Look at Arsenal's finances - they're a total mess, and one of the key things for them has been missing out on sizeable transfer fees for the likes of Ramsey and Gnabry (different situation but still dumb on their part). No doubt this is just an ongoing negotiation with us trying to maximise the fee we get, but in this case Madrid hold all the cards and we're going to have to accept a lesser fee or risk losing him for nothing next year.

I'd expect to hear stories hit the press soon about Eriksen going to PSG, Juventus and any other big European side, as we try to press Madrid into paying a little more.

So it begins. I hope PSG's interest is genuine, but I'm sure we'll be leaking stories left, right and centre if it increases the fee we'll receive.

We've also already had ITK on Eriksen getting 'pissy' which is another part of the PR machine. Getting the fans to the point where they want him to leave is a tactic we've used countless times before.
