40-50m plus favorable loan options for Ceballos and Mariano would be pretty great considering Eriksen’s desire to leave and contract situation.

Real Madrid has more incentive to move depth players out considering all their spending than to offer us a big fee straight up. Our best way to get value is through some player swaps.

It’s situations like this that really puts English clubs at disadvantage due to the early closing of our transfer window.

I think I half agree. Good loan deals from RM would mean loan with a first option to buy at a set price if the players work out. If CE wants out, then let him leave.

If he signed a new contract now and didn’t play well in our evolving team, he would look a fool.

Maybe part of why he wants to leave is that he’s deep down quite lazy, and doesn’t want to fight for his place or push himself. Would explain his lack of progress over the last few years and his inability to deliver a corner!

(Edited for clarity)

Yep, he's not going to be too keen to play on Thursday nights in Kazakhstan.

Probably right
But what odds would you give him going to RM on a free?
Or re signing with us?
Or RM paying a fair figure for him?

I don't think he is the most confident football player out there

Exactly. If Madrid know that he wants out and is prepared to kick up a fuss, why wouldn’t they wait until after our window shuts to make their move?

Levy should say to Mr. Perez/Madrid: "Keep fucking us about re: the Eriksen situation and I will make you my third sworn footballing enemy.

And I promise, you will regret that."

We are not Real Madrid, but we are not exactly Burnley either.

Tbh I can only see the price dropping if we're getting something more than just cash out of it.

(Opinion people JUST opinion).

And if RM dont pay / we don’t get the price we want we really gonna let him go on a free?

Shame ITKs have ruled out Bale. Eriksen for Bale and Ceballos would be a very interesting deal at this point.

Would be a fantastic deal considering the situation. Seems Bale is quite happy to hold Real to his crazy contract though even if it means he doesn’t play very much.

It would be miraculous(in the biblical sense) considering how much Madrid are asking for Bale.

I don't really understand how they think they can get any fee for him at this point. The whole football world knows Zidane doesn't want him and most clubs would struggle to even take his wages on a free.

Very weird situation really. Surely even Madrid can't afford to piss away £30m plus a year? Makes me wonder if they are inflating his price in the hope they can use him for a huge discount on Pogba.

One last time, if he has his eyes set on Madrid, there's naff all we can do about it. You're going round in circles with the United stuff every day, but theres zero sign that the player has any intention of going there (or that they hold any interest at this stage).

We know that the odds are extremely low on him staying (being happy about it) or Madrid paying a decent fee. That's why its a terrible situation. That's why he'll likely leave for free next year or even more likely leave for some mix of a pathetic fee and players this year.

My current opinion/hope on the matter is that RM come in for Pogba leaving CE no option but to have a big boy chat with Poch/Daniel to finally realise that he maybe isn't as good as he once thought and either re-sign with us or end up going to a team like Atletico.
