Ramos has said he’s staying now. Was just looking for a pay-rise.Seeing as we're likely going to be looking for a CB and he's on the move I'd love Ramos here for a season. Even it was just to wind them pricks up

The way the world works is funny and also cruel.
I'd almost put money on us having a similar incident to that one against Liverpool next season and not getting a penalty for it.
I'm actually over it believe it or not, had a weird feeling after the match, didn't shed a tear - just felt empty lol
Looking forward to the summer now and hope to get some players in.
Told you not to eat that McFlurry.I still feel sick
Liverpool are a better team than us, they were clear favorites, and did what they had to do.
The latter part is what gets me. The biggest game in our history and we are on terms for 29 seconds. Should Sissoko have lifted his arm so pronounced? No, but it was unintentional contact via his chest. If the referee waves that off I strongly doubt VAR overrules it because it is not a clear or obvious error.
The boys gave it a decent go without really banging on the door. But three weeks of preparation went out of the window after 29 seconds.
That is what hurts me most. Someone had to lose, and I can take losing, but that was so cruel.
No they wouldn't have and it's been confirmed as much as well
I just keep reflecting back on how disappointed I was with the front 3 behind Kane (Kane too, to an extent) . Michael Cox's analysis (sorry if this has already been linked) showed we got the game plan spot on but we just failed to utilise those opportunities and bad decision making and technical execution cost us.
That goal was so deflating. It was just so cheap.
Who confirmed that VAR wouldn't have asked the ref to check the incident if he hadn't blown the whistle SM? This has made it even more annoying now.
I can see why the ref blew. The ref saw the ball hit him either on or very close to the arm and he's got a back-up system to get him out of jail if he gets the decision wrong so he has to blow the whistle.
What really annoys me is this interpretation of the rules that's being applied in this competition. They aren't the rules in the rule book so why are they being applied like this? I know it's been the same for all of the teams, but it's really annoyed me ever since they announced it.
The dad of one of my friends is a referee assessor who's done VAR training. I need to get his take on the incident.
If this is your type of thing, this is an interesting insight as to how Liverpool prepared for the game. Not sure how beneficial it actually was come the game, I don't think our shortcomings were down to Liverpool's brilliance particularly, more our lack of clinical finishing and wasted opportunities. On another day, the result would have been different if we had capitalised on just one or two of the chances.
We're a whole different proposition to benefica B at full strength, the problem was we weren't.
