Yep - they report that 4 clubs have approached Lyon- PSG, Juve, and United as well as us. Real Madrid and City are also interested without having made formal contact.

CFC have made an error in translating - United not city have made approach for him.
Are they somewhat reliable?

Really hope the club learns their lesson from this season where Levy and co have got extremely lucky with:

1. Spending no money but CL footie almost secured for next season. Injuries and tactics almost costing us in the run-in. Our saviour was a freak set of results for a few weeks to our rivals.
2. Utd & Madrid sacking their managers mid season and appointing permanent managers, thus them not being interested in Poch this summer. IMO, Poch is critical to our progression.
3. Getting to CL semi final where we just need to win to the 2nd leg to get to an historic final.

Really need to push on now and get rid of our deadwood and secure good quality players early enough. There are plenty out there within our budget who would improve us: Brandt, Grealish, Atal, Tearney etc. Just need to identify them get it done.

Oh, and formulate a transfer strategy going forward so we don't end up in this position again. This may involve a DoF, which Poch my not like, but surely he can be talked round if presented in the right manner e.g. he still has the final say.

Dig deep into those pockets little bald man because serious investment is required!!

I'd love to know the difference between what our summer will be now vs what it could have been (assuming we tie it up nicely next sunday). I reckon it could have a big impact stadium sponsor wise and our leverage there.

From the people behind Paris United. Meunier has a year left on his contract.

Leo Dubois and Thomas Meunier are among the players targeted by Tottenham to replace Aurier and Trippier on the start. Nabil Fekir is still followed by several big European teams, including Bayern, Juve, Chelsea and Tottenham.

There is really now no excuse for not going out and having a decent net spend. I believe it was something like 80-90 mill that Spurs made from this CL semi final run and now that CL is almost certainly guaranteed for next year, the money should be there, even with the stadium. Three straight windows of no spending as well. ITK has said the money was supposedly there last year, so again no excuse to not have a significant net spend that gets Poch players he wants.
Add to that the fact we sold dembele in jan and should be selling some of the following: Vorm Nkoudu Llorente Janssen Trippier Eriksen Toby

2x £0 spend windows + CL qualification again + CL Semis at least this year + new stadium being open we should be able to give poch £100-200m to spend depending on who we sell

Qualifying for the champions league means we will miss out on far better quality targets

Wouldn’t be surprised if we looked at Fekir

This might make some pause but I hope we don't. And I say that as someone that supports Lyon. I actually was said that Liverpool didn't take him and remove him from Lyon's lineup. He is definitely a very good player but needs the ball to show it. It would be similar to a James situation.

Now Leo Dubois and Martin Terrier from Lyon are 2 that I have previously written about in here so it is good to see Dubois' name popping up. These two players were names I mentioned of very good players purchased by Lyon just last season (2018 Jan and summer) for not a lot of money but have made it very hard for them to keep out of the starting lineup.

Bruno Fernandes beating Frank Lampard's midfield goal record with 31 goals this season - assume he's been mentioned but is it he totally out of our league?

From what I'm reading, if they are an unquestionably talented player, they are out of our league.

Le10 Sport: NDombele might choose Spurs over PSG and Juventus
Pulling in one of the most sought after midfielders in Europe would be a coup for Spurs

According to French outlet Le10sport, Tanguy NDombele might be a Tottenham player next season. Firing up the Google translate machine, and talking to a friend who speaks French, Le10 are reporting that Tottenham are among 4 teams willing to pay Lyon what they are demanding for the midfielder, along with PSG, Juventus, and Manchester City.

While the other three are obviously a cut above Spurs in terms of money, according to Le10, Spurs have 2 things going for them in their pursuit of NDombele: First, he wants to make the French squad for Euro 2020 and only Spurs can guarantee playing time. Second, he likes Pochettino’s style of play. Nonetheless, Le10 says his heart is with PSG or Juventus, but Spurs have a chance and his decision is coming soon.

After striking out at signing a replacement for Mousa Dembele last season, Spurs are in desperate need of a midfielder who can win the ball, resist the press, and advance the ball up the pitch. NDombele demonstrated this season that he can do just that. Per Statsbomb, he was an absolute wrecking ball this season for Lyon:

NDombele was key to Lyon’s victory over Manchester City in the Champions League group stages and led them to the knockout round this season, and has them on track to make Champions League again this season. He’d slot right into Spurs midfield and would fix one of the massive weaknesses of the team this season.

This one still feels like a long shot but also this season I watched VAR send Spurs into the Champions League semifinal and this morning I watched Brighton and Huddersfield potentially save Spurs’ season and ability to recruit a guy like NDombele. Why not let the good times roll.

Thank you. I truly needed a good laugh.
