RM may be offering to sell us Modric and Bale, because they want Kane.
So they can just keep them
If it’s a case of giving them first option on Dele and Kane, I say go for it. I’d much rather sell players to Madrid than to our rivals like City when the time comes.
I wouldn't give Madrid the steam off my piss. They can do one.

Why would RM sell Modric when he is their best midfielder even today ?
I cannot see Modric or Bale happening.

Really love hearing that we want to bring in a big name signing to accompany NWHL, but I think Bale and Modric really miss the mark in regards to the direction of this club and its transfer policy. I actually am pretty against their return unless it was a free transfer. Not only would it be bringing in older players that would be pricey, short-term investments (never mind Bale can't play a full season anymore), but we would essentially be pushing our young stars out the door and telling our young talent that we aren't willing to give them a chance anymore. This club is ascending to a peak in its history because of purchases like Bale and Modric, and because of them they're reaching a point where they don't have to sell those kind of players that they develop into superstars. Bale and Modric certainly brought us some exciting times, but is attempting to re-live that worth pushing Alli, Kane, Eriksen out of the spotlight and potentially out of the club? For me that's a clear no.
I think I would prefer spending that kind of money on a young player that's capable of supplementing the young, up-and-coming attitude in the squad. Pulisic immediately comes to mind, but I'm not as high on him as my fellow Americans. But someone of that caliber and career arc.
If Modric doesn't sign, we'll all shit on your head!If Modric signs, I'll shit on my own head
And we made Bale and Modric, so fail to see relevance. We don't buy world class players, we make them.
Somehow the odds don't seem in my favourIf Modric doesn't sign, we'll all shit on your head!

Surely buying older players with experience is better that buying young players if we care about the young talent we are developing in house. Not only will they only be realistically about for a few seasons but they also can help develop young players with their experience. I think if we were to sign both it would be taken well by most players, it would be a statement of intent.Really love hearing that we want to bring in a big name signing to accompany NWHL, but I think Bale and Modric really miss the mark in regards to the direction of this club and its transfer policy.
