The massive assumption here is that this transfer wouldn't work out. If we do sign him, maybe give him a chance before assuming it wouldn't work based on his nationality? How many Turkish players have done well in England?
We keep on wasting money on players like this, njie and nkoudou. £30 million there that could have been spent on one proper player.

The same was said to me about Korean players when we signed Sonny. How many Turkish players have done well in England?

agree with the bolded part. we need to stop these blind gambling and spend more wiselyHow many Turkish players have done well in England?

I don't see the problem though. Look through our team - Walker, Rose, Davies, Dier, Alli, Huddlestone, Bale, Dawson, Lennon, Eriksen... We've had a lot of success with this type of signing. Cheap gambles on young talent. Signing this guy won't be the reason we don't land a Lemar or a Costa. He's not an alternative. This is how the likes of Dortmund and Atleti keep coming back year on year, and is exactly the type of signing we need to keep making, hopefully in addition to the Lemars we all want to see Spurs start competing for. But we shouldn't lose sight of what got us here.I'm not saying he's not going to work out but just pointing out that Turkish players haven't thrived here. I don't know why.
I know we've been fed the line we can't compete for the top players which I understand but we keep going for unknowns not the obvious up and coming players.
son scored 10+ goals in 3 consecutive seasons in Bundesliga which is a much better league than the Turkish league before he joined usThe same was said to me about Korean players when we signed Sonny.

our position has changed. if new players do not have the impact as dele or dier fans would want them sold. can we provide them sufficient game time to develop and fulfill their potential? i doubt thatI don't see the problem though. the odds can be different. i prefer a transfer with lower riskEvery transfer is a gamble.
What do you suggest?our position has changed. if new players do not have the impact as dele or dier fans would want them sold. can we provide them sufficient game time to develop and fulfill their potential? i doubt that
I'm not comparing this guy with Son. I was responding to a generic point that players of a certain nationality won't be successful in the PL.son scored 10+ goals in 3 consecutive seasons in Bundesliga which is a much better league than the Turkish league before he joined us
