Not to pat myself on the back but anyone that drop 'optimistic' ratings on me when i said that I fancied our chances against city, go do one :p. Game ain't over and we need to keep up the intensity. City can peg us back but we match up well against them. Let's finish is boys. COYS!

Agree with them points but the main issue for me is that his movement is very poor. Which can make the strong points of his game worth little. He's always looking for the easy option, and when he does make a run it's always the predicable one that defenders will read all day.

I think that's fucking harsh, he's 21 having his first handful of games in a tough new league and CL. He's never going to be a Defoe or Bent type, thank fuck, and I doubt he'll ever be a Costa/Drogba but lets not pretend Kane's been on their level for most of his fledgling career either. Many of Kane's performances have been littered with carelessness, bumbling, poor decisions and imperfection, but we like him because of the other shit he brings, those same things Janssen is bringing.

Crazy stuff. Both sets of players will sleep after this!

Wish moose was fit, he'd be perfect for the 2nd half.

But great stuff from us just like last season, raise our press and work rate against city.
No idea what I'd do in the second half to see us collect 3 points. Tough one for Poch.
And who will tire first
we need to keep on the offensive and try for the third goal. I'd say to the players at half time - press even more or your subbed.

Sod the players being knackered, I need a rest after that first half.

Great intensity and hustling of the back four but what ball by Son for that 2nd

God I love this squad

Also, Tyler and Redknapp keep making excuses for City "This isn't the City we know" "It's because they have players injured" do they forget we are without Kane? Our top goal scorer at the club and also Dembele arguably our best player?

I mean, let's stop making excuses, City look shit because we are making them look shit.

Sissoko doing a great job and Wanyama an absolute beast giving our midfield so much control. Lucky De bruyne not playing but really capitalised and then our front 4 playing lovely interchanging stuff.

Wanyama yellow a shame given we need him to get stuck in but hard to take him off when playing so well

Wonder how our season would have.l finished with Wanyama able to come in for Moussa last season

Son is effectively out blockbuster summer signing

Still a looooooong way to go in this and subs will be crucial in the outcome - we will either solidify our position and whilst the press will undoubtedly drop, we become efficient in passing and application or we cede ground to City, drop back and put ourselves under massive pressure.

Janssen should come on eventually for his diligence up top and still keep Stones and particularly Otamendi occupied but the clamour will be to bring on Dier to 'shore us up' but if this is taking either Eriksen or Lamela off then it's going to be counter intuitive and will go in City's favour.

Need to stay positive, ride out the wave of City's (which will come) and pick our moments on the break to hopefully capitalise and make the game safe.

No. Don't want to change our rhythm and mindset to 'negative'.

We carry on just the same for the first 20mins and then assess energy levels.

Dier and GKN are natural subs for this though at some point.
Idea of GKN running against a stretched City defence... Chaos.

That's going to be the tough part though isn't it ? And keeping Wagamama on the pitch.

I love Wanyama more than most on here, but just worried about Wanyama and the way he plays that he will be sent off.
He got booked early on Wednesday remember and then played like a monster for the rest of the match. You know he'll be off at the first opportunity though while Otamendi gets away with 73 more yellow card offences.

Let them make excuses and let us keep being underestimated... Suits us.

Don't get too overexcited peeps. This game isn't over at all. Not at 2-0.

With all due respect as spurs fans we could be 5-0 up and we'd still belive we'd somehow fuck it up. It's in our dna after years of the ridiculous. Gonna take a few more years of Poch to make us more confident

And just to add ......although its impossible to say for certain but no way would we lead 2-0 at halftime with vincent up top instead of alli or sissoko IMO.

Hes a good player and i really rate him but that 1st half wasnt for him IMO

Such a quality half, the tactics as well were spot on that half. Wanyama is sitting in front of the back four and then we basically have the rest of the midfield and up front pushing high up and going man to man meaning City can't pass around comfortably. I hope the players have the energy to keep this up.
