Poch has been rotating pretty well so far, we should be able to play our full strength team against both barring injuries. We have to get a result here, not to get out of such an easy CL group would be a travesty.

Its a matter of perception. I had Winks to start in our first game against Everton, in absence of Dembele. I felt he was ready. I have no reasons to doubt that till now. As I said, we lost to Monaco inspite of playing our "percieved strong XI"

All I am saying is, if there is injury concerns on Dier, Dembele, Rose - we should not risk them and not be afraid to play likes of Winks.

What's the point of resting players for the city league game, in order to finish in the CL places, if we're going to play our B team in the Champions League.

We need to field a strong side in this game, however rushing Dier, Dembele and Rose back my not be a great idea, especially Dembele. I also think Winks will be fine and actually will contribute well to the team and I would rather see him in the CM 2 than see a Dier Wanyama partnership and I think we will be better for us controlling the tempo than Alli playing in the CM2.

I would like to see:

Lloris
Walker Toby Verts Davies
Wanyama Winks
Lamela Eriksen Son
Janssen​
Bench: Vorm, Wimmer, Dier, Dembele, Alli, Sissoko, GKN.

I may get shot down for this team, but feel it's strong enough just a fraction weak on the bench. I honestly feel Poch will use Walker, Rose, Dier and Dembele (if the later 3 are fit for it) v Man C. not sure if Sissoko will be available due to seeing somewhere he actually came off for concussion, so might not be available v City either

CSKA are sitting 2nd having played 8 matches and are undefeated so far too, just wished the Monaco game had been away and this was at home with City only having to travel to Glasgow and most probably be able to get away with resting/rotating a few for Sunday

I do understand many saying, CL = strongest team, but we are talking about 3 players just returning from hamstring injuries, and as mentioned by someone, the pitches in Russia not being the best, playing them 3 might end up costing us a lot more than just missing the City game. we have 2 very tough months at a time when our pitches will start getting heavier if we have our usual autumn

Any worries about racism in this match? Or are CSKA not guilty of that sort of thing normally? I'm aware these things happen in Russia still, but I'm ignorant as to how often/where. I expect it isn't a problem in the CL, but still thought I'd ask.

No worries at all. Havent you heard? FIFA ended racism so they disbanded the task force as it did its job:eek:

What easy group you talking about? There are no such thing as an easy group in this competition.

A poll in these kind of 'Team v XXX' would be quite interesting, if there were a way to allow people to make 11 selections...?

For what its worth, i think we have to go full strength tomorrow which for me means:

Janssen

Tough one between Alli and Eriksen but Alli gets the nod on the basis i think he is more likely to get in and around VJ quickly.

Not quite must win, certainly must not lose.

Happy to find out this games ko is 745 and not 6. How come it's the later ko? Always thought the Russian cl games started earlier?

Thought Dembele and Dier just had cramp against Sunderland?

Please don't tell me no Dembele for City, would be a huge miss.
