Should have just taken him out with a strong tackle. More damage, half the ban.
To be fair, the players and many fans were as one, frustrated seeing the dream disappear. It may have been wrong in hindsight (not you), but it was fitting at the time. If we had drawn that game with a whimper I think our fans would have lost it with the players.Quite so Dougal . But I have to go along with Dembele's 'not proud' comment . I posted this view after the match, receiving north of a ton of negs here from those apparently proud of the lost Spurs heads in that match .
Also , Poch said he was 'proud' . I had trouble getting my head round any of it tbh . Just me 'n Danny Rose flagged that there was anything amiss with the Spurs display that day .
People don't seem so proud of the Chelski match nowadays I note .

It wasn't over until it was over. And then the frustration released.Yeh, Looking back , it was mad to overstate that we even had any chance of the title at that point winding everybody up . It was only the slimmest of mathematical chances , needing Leicester to suddenly collapse . We'd missed out on the title in reality at an earlier point . Oh well .

We could have ended up with nine men on the pitch in that game, if we play like that in the future, it wont be a positive!I did like the fact that we were not a soft touch that day. Got stuck in. If we can harness it in the future then it's a positive.
Hence, why I said 'If we can harness it'.We could have ended up with nine men on the pitch in that game, if we play like that in the future, it wont be a positive!

THISI was proud of my team at the time until I read we didn't have one shot on their goal after the ciaos.
That is something you can't be proud of as we played into their hands.
Regarding the game as a spectacle. It was the most dramatic game I had seen supporting Tottenham for a long time.
Looking back again I feel Pochettino must have learnt from the experience, as I feel that he made a few mistakes too. His persona changed towards the end of season, he seemed agitated and that reflected in the teams performances.
I wrote at the time that I thought it was a great game; never seen Spurs fight so much (as per. play on the pitch kind of 'fight'). I didn't see the handbags after the game however.... Dembele did get a bit carried away, but whether it deserved a six-gamer I question.Quite so Dougal . But I have to go along with Dembele's 'not proud' comment . Sorry 'Gilzean...' I know this is a debate that is a little pointless now: but I still thought we were in with a chance, admittedly a small one, when we played Chelsea.Yeh, Looking back , it was mad to overstate that we even had any chance of the title at that point winding everybody up . It was only the slimmest of mathematical chances , needing Leicester to suddenly collapse . We'd missed out on the title in reality at an earlier point . Oh well .
