Jurgen Klopp anyone?

Not long i think Poch will be go
Our midfield is extremely piss poor. The fact Leicester have Inler ON THE BENCH pretty much sums it all up. What scares me is that Poch and his clown squad don't see it. I won't miss him when he gets sacked.

Its not always the manager fault, its down to the boardroom.Joe and levy run a good club and are clearly looking to make big money once the ground is sorted. Its going to take atleast a good couple of years we as fans are going to have a hard time watching us play for maybe 6 or 7th spot. But we really need a Arab or someone that is going to put big money into the club to get back into that top 4 and play CL week in week out.

This time the buck stops with Levy. As much as I am grateful for the new stadium project, which I think is essential to our progression, it's just the same mistakes every year. Very frustrating.

Agreed but most fans will want Poch out soon despite us having an incomplete squad to start the campaign and a terrible preseason schedule. Even if we buy a few players it takes time to integrate them, we might only see the best of this team later in the season and probably to late then.

We repeat this it seems every year and yet it's always the managers fault, board have nothing to do with it apparently.

Yes but if you look at last season, Poch got lucky. Dire performance after dire performance but often snatching results. He was lucky, we should have been much further down the table.

This season he may not be as lucky...
It's the thing casually overlooked by pretty much every fan. For once last season we were incredibly lucky, picking up points when we had no right to. Our football wasn't even close to reflective of our end league position.

If that goes against us this season (and it will, that's just how regression works), Poch is in big trouble.

Again, you approach this from a totally different direction to the one I intended. take it how you wish then. meh.

I do appreciate your more balanced views on this forum, and you maintain a healthy sense of perspective that a lot of people (myself included, admittedly) can do with at times, but there's no way of sugar-coating that performance.

For me it's open season on a whinge-fest. Perfectly justified right now.

I get that we are boring and shit at creating anything sure, but we've just dropped 4 points due to our inability to keep the other team out not from an inabillity to get the ball in the net.

we have capitulated a winning position twice in the last 10 mins and its not because Lamela is too lightweight for the league or that we didnt play NJie.

If one thing would make a difference to us its an experienced, seen it all defensive midfielder.

Oh no,we tied the team currently top of the league away from home, fire management and sell everyone......

Bunch of whiners on here, Happy to see Alli have a positive impact, hope he gets more playing time and we get a couple of top players in before the end of the window

to err is human, to fuck up week after week is spurs's dna. letting a goal in from the restart is so schoolboy it's untrue. think our next signing should be a psychiatrist to exorcise our obvious mental demons.

Was the second half atleast better than the first?

The heat obviously played a massive part today because BOTH sides were slow.
But what scares me is that even in optimum conditions, right now, Its going to take a lot to kick it up a gear.
2nd half WAS better, but still nowhere near where we should be. The tempo just isn't there, we hold the ball fairly well but can't drive into those attacking areas - and today, we gave Leicester so much time, they could literally walk back to defend.
I'm just really frustrated!!

Agreed. Everyone accepts that we haven't got the finances to really compete with the big boys in the top 4: that's fine. But if we can't have that, then can we at least try and build a side who are actually fun to watch? Otherwise what's the point of it all?

This absofuckinglutely!

The excuse that we havent got any money to spend when smaller clubs like Stoke , Leicester and even fucking West Ham have made bold improvements to the squad, while we are sitting around with our dicks in ours hands. Fuck this season, 10-16th at best the wy we arr playing

Thats a bit silly mate this is a manager working with his hands tied working in a difficult situation.
Yes he is not a great manager and i never ever wanted him but with this average squad and a tight arse chairman honestly who could do better?

The most important need we had to address was more pace/better movement, and we didn't do it for the start of the season.

Now I know we can't just throw money about, but we've had all summer to open negotiations with West Brom and have only just started, officially at least, last week.

This is partly the consequence of doing your key business in such a way. Its a shame, but there's no doubt in my mind had we tackled this glaring need quicker we'd probably have more points than we do now.

I honestly think Everton are going to give us massive problems next week as well. I think we look a bit weak in all honesty.

Not only that but we must of known since the end of last season that with losing Brad, Kaboul, Ade (not that he really counts) and others like Paulinho (not that he really counts either) etc we have lost some experience and leadership. I can't get my head around the fact that the club is happy to head into the season without addressing the issue.

The main thing for me is that we have a progressive season. I want to see Pochettino backed in the market and I want to see evidence that our football is improving. I want to see this Pochettino philosophy taking shape.

3 games in and its very much meh.

Its only a matter of time before we get one of those 'win' thingys. Definitely getting closer.
Own goal by Walker; pen by toby; gaff by Verts. We've had a grenade pin between our teeth every game so far this season. lol

I think we played ok today overall, considering the heat. Leicester have steam-rolled their way into the season and have good momentum already, but they hit a different proposition today.

I'll keep saying it...the sooner we bring the new lads in the sooner we get our season going. Need that injection of hunger right now.
