I'm sure a few ITKs have said that Dembele will only be leaving if we get big money for him.

JJ said it's up to him - whether he wants to stay as a squad player, or leave in search of football.

IMO £8m is a decent fee for someone who hasn't performed for 2.5 years and who has a chronic hip condition

For a start, Berahino is a good 5 inches taller, 11 years younger and would probably want lower wages.

But costs 20m more for a similar player who will never be in the top echelon of forward players. Just like Defoe... Played like Defoe, reminds me of Defoe, might as well have the real Formica not something like Formica as George once said.

Sorry mate rush read your post. For lw i see us having chadli, pritchard and possibly berahino. With oduwa as back up. That should be enough.

Yup, agreed. As long as we get one pacey player in capable of playing LW, I'm content. Would prefer two since I think we reinforcement at both winger and striker (and not just one player), but it'd still be an improvement nonetheless with one.

Costs £9m more and can be sold in a few years if it doesn't work out for i'm guessing at least £9m. So no costs nothing more than defoe and a damn site less if we sell him for more.

IF his attitude/issues can be resolved he would be an excellent signing. Young, very quick and a proven goal scorer in the premier league. Ideally I would play a 433 with Saido on the left and Eriksen or Lamela behind Kane, with Bentaleb and McCarthy? in central midfield. That leaves a vacancy for a quick wide right forward. Having pace isn't the end of the world but it will leave us lopsided if Walker hasn't significantly improved over the summer with Trippier not the quickest. N'Jie or Ntep (injured?) could fill the vacancy giving us a very young and exciting attack minded team with bags of experience at the back.

Would he even pass a medical with that hip issue?

I'm not thrilled by this Berahino itk tbh. He already openly talked about moving on to "bigger things" during the season which is unacceptable imo. If he has one good season for us he will once again talk about moving to bigger things and he'll be off to manchester or somewhere like that like a shot.

Not for a player of his ability when we paid 15 for him. Regardless of form for us he is still highly rated and with the right management I think he has beast potential. Need to get him dribbling at players around the box and shooting more.

Whether its with us or someone else I think he will kick on.

So? We get a good season out of him and would make a tidy profit that could be spent on a replacement.

age, ability and positional wise, SB is perfect for us. i've never really follow his off field issues, can anyone fill me in? and to be honest he's 21. you know, like sometimes, maybe people do mature and grow up. reminds me of sturridge before joining pool. with the right coaching i believe he can reach sturridge's level and that would be fucking massive for us

Dear God! What has Levy done to us? We are debating the cost and age of a player in terms of resale values! Where are the days of signing exciting players and not caring about the financials?

Seriously though, if you bear in mind the quality (and quantity) of players coming through, I think it is realistic that Levy could be prepared to outlay more cash on "risky" (I.e. Not as great a potential for resale) players as we have the likes of Pritchard Eric coming through for free but, the moment they play for the first team a few times, become multi-million pound assets.

Drinking, drugs and fighting. Not unusual for a 21YO, but not a good sign for a supposed elite athlete.

It'll be a shame as Lennon moving will finally see us rid of the last of the spice boys

All businesses should be run sustainably. It's like being proud to shop at Co-op because they pay fairtrade prices to their third world suppliers.

March 2014 - fell out with team mates (media used the term 'brawl' to describe the incident) over his attitude, got thumped by James Morrison
April 2014 - Filmed inhaling 'hippy crack' whilst behind the wheel of his car
October 2014 - Stopped on the M6 driving at "high speed" whilst over the drink drive limit
January 2015 - Banned from driving for previous incident
Jan/Feb 2015 - Spoke to SkySports without club's permission telling them he wanted to move to a better club

Mostly that hecwas arrogant. Got a smack off another player at half time when he lost the ball causing the other team to score. Had some laughing gas and got caught drink driving.

Was voted players player of the year for them last year. So he can't be that much of a twat.

Levy? Thirteen years ago i was on my way to watch Gillingham v Spurs in a pre season friendly... soon I'll be off to Germany to see us play Bayern munich!

Perhaps, but Walker and Lennon have ticked a couple of boxes on that list over their spurs careers.

If Berahino wasn't a young "English" (Burundian) striker, then perhaps the discretions would be given less attention.

Everyone makes mistakes, it's how (or whether) we learn from them that should define us.
