Thought Davies was very good.

Actually looks like he wants to defend, which is encouraging for one of our full backs...

On holiday in NZ, just woke up, checked the score and woke my entire room up when I cheered (4 man dorm).

How was Mason and Bentaleb in the middle? Made me proud to be Spurs when I saw that. If those two gel we have a potentially stunning homegrown midfield.

Are people not allowed to post opinions if they disagree with the line-up? How does that equate to not supporting the team? There have been plenty of times people have questioned starting line-ups in the last 2 years and were proven completely right. I understand some criticizing people saying over the top things like "we will lose 5-0" or the such, which is clearly nonsense, but just because people post that they think the line-up was wrong or susceptible to a good Everton attack, doesn't mean they are lesser supporters.

I will completely admit I wanted Chadli and Lamela to start because they were our leading goal and assist providers. They didn't and we still won, and I couldn't be more happy.

You need to go back and read what some people were saying, it was disgusting. People were saying sack Pochettino, we are gonna lose 5-0 etc etc. I dont mind people saying "oh I wouldnt play Bentaleb" but to say some of the things that they were saying were ridiculous. Go & have a look at when the team sheet was mentioned.

Yeah, we're all pretty high on that win so I hope the fans on here take into account that a Chelsea loss is not a reason to panic again.
Who say's we are going to lose. Good time to play them, very tough but I think it'll be very close.

Shows that you really don't need the best possession stat to win and play the better football in doing so.

Mason and Bentaleb are the best option in central midfield as far as I'm concerned.

Shhh, don't let Bus Conducter see that :cautious:

People are giving Lamela a lot of stick, but f**king hell we brought the lad on when we were under the cosh at the end. What do people expect. The lad is a work is progress, despite being thrown into the battle in this game he still tried to put himself about and give us an outlet. Let's not be too harsh.

Same can be said of Paulinho. He can on and f**king worked for us! People giving them stick is ridiculous and it is just people trying to pick holes rather than enjoying a great performance.

I think there is an argument to suggest this in as far as the rest of the team were tiring and their introduction simply coincided with the change in momentum

Plus Everton chasing the game and us wanting to defend our league meaning the dynamic of the game changed naturally

I do however feel that the Lamela sub especially contributed to us becoming under the cosh as Lennon had done a great job sedating Baines and keeping him pinned back with his pacey attacking threat as well as working hard off the ball. When Lamela came on he gave Baines a lot more licence to get forward and Everton started to take control

Lamela did make some good runs forward but he wasn't able to do anything with the passes, in part because he was too slow and weak to do so but it could be said it was good defending from them and the through balls not perfect

Paulinho - he didn't do much wrong but neither did he do a lot right. I think he was the wrong man to bring on really due to the way the game had turned and we'd have been better off with Dembele providing a bit more in the centre of the park.

Good decision with Pochettino with start 11. I questioned the Bentaleb and Mason pairing, and Lennon on rather than Chadli but it worked very well. Definitely did the correct thing in sitting Lamela out of 11, would not be a game he would thrive in

I thought he was decent, a bit over-enthusiastic and clumsy at times, but worked hard, tidy passing, defended well and nearly made a couple of breakthrough counters.

People moaning about him just want to moan about something.

I remember when Kane went on loan at first to Norwich and then to Leicester.... both fan bases never took to him and they were both poor loans.

Now look at him. Feel so happy for him.

But before those loans he had been to Millwall - and the fans had absolutely adored him. Tim very publicly argued for him to be integrated into the first team squad then; perhaps that would have been too soon, who knows...

Come on guys, let's give Soldado the love he deserves for that.
His running was superb, he made a lot of space and played some good stuff and most importantly took his chance with aplomb. Almost a perfect striker's performance.

Honestly, Carragher is such a moron. Do overseas viewers get subtitles? Soldado is a striker; he scored the winning goal. End of: now, fuck off back to Merseyside!
