regardless of the pros/cons of service, etc letting vlad leave before dawson is criminal, assuming that he's not leaving because someone bigger/better is coming in.

Have a feeling we're gonna regret this unless weve a better alternative lined up which I am starting to doubt. I would have Vlad as our 2nd choice CB after Verts.

I would guess that any ITK potential signing has been studied by Baldini or Broomfield for more than ninety minutes at the start of a season. You may not have been impressed with the player on Sunday but it is farcical to suggest that he's a busted flush especially as our new manager see's him as such an important player for his system.

Your last paragraph defies logic. Do you really think that Poch wants players at the club who "throw in the towel"? The players Twitter feed told you a month ago how he truly feels about still being at the Saints.

It's been out in the open for ages. Itk has hinted it's a problem between 3rd party and Villarreal. Are you saying we should throw in another 5-10 million to pay for their problems? If so, what happens then? Let's be frank even if he signed MM, MS and Depay we'd still be behind at least 3 teams in squad quality and would struggle to get top 4. Would that then be deemed as a failure? We'd have more debt and less equity for the stadium and still unlikely to be seen as a more attractive partner for commerical rights without CL.

We need to continue our plan of steady and organic growth. We struck gold with the model in recent years and have made some huge revenues to improve the clubs infrastructure. We haven't been able to push on because our rivals have had more funds to strengthen aswell.

All we should be looking to do with the playing staff is improve the first 11, but to achieve this we need to lose 5-6 squad players. The selling of our players is a problem so we can't sign anyone at the minute - unfortunately it is sit and wait until that happens and then we can sign some real quality investments. All we can hope is that it happens this window.

This fucks me off more than potentially not getting Musacchio.

If we aren't confident of bringing in a defender then we really shouldn't be selling before we buy save for Dawson fucking off to whoever will have him.
