My view of Rose being decent under AVB is purely based on my eyes. I pulled and prodded at the stats for last year and couldn't get praise worthy numbers out of any of our full backs!

he was. granted he only played four league games under avb but he was very good, hence why by december most of the board were desperate for him to return.

Not surprising to be honest, the actual contribution from our fullbacks is way below-par and we really need far more actual quality from both fullbacks. As I have said a few times, I really don't know how Walker gets away with little scrutiny and Rose gets dogs abuse when bar the efforts in tracking back there is little difference between them.

As said not an opinion I share about Rose but I respect your opinion even if I disagree with it

I'm not surprised on that about any of our full backs, only surprised they can be described as that. I can see them getting their passport applications sent back if they put full back as their job description

I think most were desperate for Verts to move back to CB nothing to do with any great desire for Rose to return other than there was no one else. Actually it was a pretty tough choice Rose or Naughton at left back

davies is not twice rose. maybe if you watched swansea for 90 minutes every weekend critiquing every minute error then you wouldn't feel that way, but you don't, so ...
Well, shit; i guess you know me more than i know myself, huh?

Imagine that, claim i'm making an assumption, then you go and do the very same thing in the same sentence.

Good job bro, gold sticker for you.

I think it's a case of selective amnesia. AVB switched between jan and Naughton and there were some heavy hammerings. In fact i remember there was a funny thread asking where danny rose was. He didn't look good under sherwood but then none of the defence did imo. I have a feeling that if we buy Davies, rose will still start ahead of him. Better to spend more on a definite upgrade.

He has incredible foresight and is the Oracle. You must not argue with him. He knows everything about everyone in football.

Walker has not been that good. Defending at times has been cringing at times using his pace to get him out of trouble. He has to go back to basics watching others that play in his position. If he has the attitude to learn he will be great however if he carries on thinking he has made it then we should sell now while stock is high. Ivory coast rb would be a good shout as Arsenal as opted for the Toon'srb

The biggest problem we have since HR left is that we don't create/score enough goals. Since last season we have no backbone and structure and conceding bucketloads of goals. Whoever sanctioned Soldaldos move should be shot based on the way AVB wanted to play. We needed a striker to join the play and spin and get in but instead we spend on penalty box striker. AFN is this season and if we are Aspiring to get top 4 then we need another striker now.

Regardless of who signs the club needs to address the inbalance of the team get them in pre season and start the the season and not starting the league in September as we have done over the years always playing catchup.

Can someone please direct me to the Rose and/or the Remy ITK???

Please as I've obviously missed a trick here, oh there isn't any!! Can we politely move along and go to their thread please. Ta

Personally I'd like Richards, think he'll get enough games being multi positional and will be good back up for both positions. Hope he's old enough to know how to steer clear of injuries now and young enough to still develop.

But obviously as we're Spurs he'll do his cruciate a day before the season starts

Your lack of smileys and capital letters (you still haven't explained why you don't use them) make me unsure whether you actually believe this. If you do, I hope you enjoy your self-loving.

Erm, are you forgetting about Soldado, Lamela and Paulinho lol

Davies is a sloth and had worse stats than Rose last season ... something I didn't think was possible :p

There's other decent left backs out there, I'd even take Kolarov if Man C would sell.

I wasn't agreeing with the Davies stuff as I don't know enough about him, but would definitely take Kolarov.

I know how you feel, I pointed Suarez out to Rednapp, but the stupid **** sent Sherwood and Ferdinand out to scout him.

Maybe that's what happened when you pointed Bernat out ?

let's not get carried away, Rose was not good under AVB, he was better. He was decent for a month or two, got injured and was shit ever since. I believe that the injury made a small difference, as did Tim's management. However, I believe that if he didn't get injured and we still had AVB we would have this dilemma anyway. I personally didn't rate him at Sunderland and I felt this was always inevitable. I'll always appreciate Rose for his goal Vs Arse but that 1 memory doesn't mean that our defense should suffer as a result. LB is priority and without a new one we will have the same defensive issues again next season
