i don't rate romelu lukaku so you're probably asking the wrong question here

although he does fit my perception of lukaku: is no where near as good right now as a lot of people make him out to be and i sure don't want him as our manager

Fuck me, do you really think that? this is the ITK thread, not the devoid of a grasp on reality thread, everything good at Spurs happens in part because of Daniel Levy just as everything bad Daniel Levy is partly responsible.

He's not a Chief Executive either, he's an owner chairman.

To an extent i agree with your sentiments. But any Spurs fan with an inch of an I.Q. would suggest that Santini, Ramos, AVB, and Sherwood were fucking hiring mistakes of the biggest clusterfuck possible.

Levy was not "partly" responsible for those hires but totally responsible.

P.S.

He's also a minority partner.

He would be a great signing as Pochettino would keep him very fit. I just think he'd prefer someone younger though so I could see him ending up with the scousers.
I think Wenger would be thinking the same way about age irt to him tbh. He's top quality and like you said he'd be kept in fine shape by tino and would be great for us imo. We just need that position properly sorted...it can't go on.

Frank de Boer has gotten 1st 4 straight times with Ajax which is certainly over achieving a bit. Has CL experience. He knows how to win. Only thing poch has got is an 8th place finish. No european experience and no trophies.

can you name five other dutch teams without googling em mate? It's not that much of an overachievement.

Ajax had gone 6 years without a league title before De Boer, they had 'only' won 2 in 12 years.

4 in a row from that starting point is far more than could reasonably have been expected of any new manager.

...and Wanyama
Wanyama is not good enough for Spurs. Really don't get why he is rated so much. He makes passing look difficult.

Here is an article on some in scotland who didn't rate him so much...

I personally think he is okay in teams such as southampton but is not close to good enough to play for Spurs. If we want to go for a player not so mentioned from southampton it should be Schneiderlin. While Lovren could be a good option at CB.

they hadn't won the bloody thing for nearly a decade before he took control and did it four times in a row

he's also rebuilt the side everytime we've taken their best player and fixed the issues they've had since van gaal

can we stop this because it's not just a different reading of situation, it's blatant ignorance

Yes. But in the beginning SAF had 0 trophies as well. Every journey has to start somewhere....

I'm a bit underwhelmed because I wanted FDB. But I'll give him 100% support and I'm happy we'll be playing good football now. I just hope he gets time and support.

His biggest job will be winning the players over. I hope they're not disappointed. There are a few prima donna's in our squad, unlike Southampton. He's got a much bigger task keeping our lot happy than he had at Southampton. These bloody players have so much power these days and I hope he's big enough to sort them out.

I just thought with FDB he'd have won the player battle without trying. The players would have seriously looked up to him and respected him. I'm not convinced all of our lot will think the same with Poch. I hope I'm wrong.
