Pleased for Ade, thought he showed all the desire and hard work that was sorely lacking last season.

Bentaleb debut was simply brilliant, calm and composed and in no way looked out of place. Clearly Sherwood, Ferdinand and Ramsey know him well from U21 so must have had plenty of faith in his ability.

If we can sort out the defensive brain farts and keep clean sheets all the while playing Ade and Soldado up front we could have good X-Mas period and then kick on to a successful second half to the season.

What is this excitement sensation I was feeling?

a good team would have cut us to ribbons but fair play to Sherwood. Big win.

bentaleb looked promising.

This from Ade...somestimes I think I misjudge this guy.

Tottenham's two-goal hero Emmanuel Adebayor, speaking to Sky: "I have been working very hard. I want to thank all my team-mates, they have been there for me.

"I am very happy for the new manager. First day he told me to 'get out there and play football, you know how to do it because of the clubs you have played for'.

"All 2013 has been very tough. My brother passed away, it was emotionally difficult.

"Everything I did today is for him and his son. My father told me to always work hard, and that paid off today."

Great win. I questioned Bentelab but Tim obviously knew something we didn't. Very impressive and we looked far more fluid when Dembele went off.

Ade fantastic. Problem is, will it last with him? Think we better just make the most of it while we can

No he will turn to .....shit.
Satisfied now?

Sherwood can now go to the center of the pitch and scream at us as Russel Crowe did in Gladiator

"ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED???" and kick the ball in the stand!

Hahaha post of the day for me! Love it!

We were a bit of a mess (especially defensively). But the players wanted it, going for every ball. High tempo that Soton didn't seem prepared for.

More of this please, just got to settle our play a bit.

Ade is like a bloody good new signing, and suddenly Soldado doesn't look like a poacher shuffling about on his own, but gets involved, and despite missing some sitters - and for once we did make some sitters to miss - he played very well with Ade. Hope this continues, though we'll need some more solidity against better teams of course.

Also, it always felt with AVB we were trying to wait for the opponents to get tired and make a sucker punch, well we had a period where we should have absolutely smashed them away as they got tired, so I wonder if there is the possibility to be a bit more positive early on and still hit a tiring opposition.. it seems so..

We did have some fortune, but goals in the box, and a couple of other good chances in the box too, bodes well..

Now i know that Bentaleb hardly played against Barcelona, but...

He reminded me an awful lot like Luka Modric.

He was comfortable on the ball, constantly asking for it, played inside the centre circle all game, arrived late in the opposition box, had an excellent passing range, and drifted past players like they weren't there!

Fantastic debut, well done Sherwood for having the balls to throw him into the fray.

Like the old spurs. Wide open, no tactics, go and attack and score one more than them! A lot of injuries and one suspended. Dembele not fit and Rose fucked at the end but great win.

Do people not realise what Siggy does for the team? He was protecting Rose, covering the CM along with supporting the attackers and getting in the box constantly. A real unsung hero in my eyes, puts in 100% effort every game.

Our attacks came down the right hand side so Siggy was always going to be quite anonymous in attacking phases.

What a great result, Great second half performance, Bentaleb looks like a real talent, Great to see Tim give him an opportunity, Adebayor, well what a difference.

Is it any coincidence that when we play our best attacking players (Eriksen, Soldado, Lamela, Adebayor) that we win?

AVB hadn't started Eriksen, Soldado and Lamela together all season and Adebayor had only played on half of football. Like I said a while back, his personnel decisions cost him his job and rightfully so.
