Yeah, I dont see what Hoddle has really done since he got sacked that would make Levy think he is the answer now, apart from talk a good game on skysports.

PS That names taken buddy!

Hi mate, sorry, I'm new on here and didn;t know you had that name. Slightly different, I used it on 606 back in the day. I'll change it if you want, no dramas!

Yes I'm sure all want him to fix it, but can he? Does he even know what is wrong? I don't think he does because if he did we would have seen signs of improvement by now.

Just don't call Jim….

We have an excellent squad don't let the naysayers convince you otherwise. Lloris, Vertonghen, Capoue, Sandro, Dembele, Paulinhho. Soldado, Lamela, Eriksen, Holtby, are all international players for top national teams, any manager would be delighted with those players.

I absolutely agree. My point was, I want the right interim manager, not someone who will give in to the media clamoring for Defoe & Townsend to lead our attack.

Think people need to show AVB a bit more respect. Best win percentage of any Tottenham manager but hey, what does that matter?

Agree, but we have problems, and we've had them for a while now. And nothing is resolving them. I want AVB to succeed, I just hope he has answers!

Right after the half time whistle Dembele had the ball and two pool players were on him in an instant. They were 2-0 up pressing a player on the half way line. We didn't do that one in the whole first half. That baffles me, why are the players still not doing something so simple which paramount to AVBS tactic
If i was BR thats exactly what i would have told my players to do.
As soon as Dembele picks up the ball get on him, he takes an age to pass it.

I disagree, he has already made changes so he obviously sees that all is not well. The guy has many faults but being a fuckwit isn't one of them. Results like today are a fairly obvious indicator to anyone that all is not well.

Don't pay too much mind to what he says in a Press Conference.

So playing a high line with the back four we had today was making changes? Did you see how easily we were torn apart at the back and how much space there was between our back four and Lloris? That is not change mate, That is suicidal football at best.

do you also want Naughton to 'fix' his inability to play football and persist with him? Or should we 'buy a new one'?

Naughton is not a left back. He was at the end of a list of players AVB wanted to play there (well, almost the end as Zeki Fryers is at the absolute end). AVB is a football manager.

I suppose the one good thing about this situation we find ourselves in again is that for once we have a very good squad with quality depth. So we wont need an overhaul for the new manager they can come in and get things going.

Ali Z on COYS:

AVB is gone just a case of it being announced, personally think Chairman was looking for an excuse to get rid. They have been putting together a list of alternatives for weeks. Sherwood/Freund partnership is a definite possibility

They have others on the list, getting rid of AVB will be expensive. In addition it will be difficult to get a top coach mid season.Franco has made some suggestions, Levy would prefer to carry on down the route of a young bright coach with new ideas but none readily available or gettable till the summer, hence why sherwood/freund is a strong runner.

Franco trying to twist a few arms, hope he does or i am not liking the alternatives.

Sounds about right...This is sounding like an epic screw up already...

but should we stick with Naughton in the first team squad. or replace him?

i mean he is there now. might as well keep him in?

Because sitting deep would have put a stop to Suarez? The link play of their front players is very, very good.

He has seen that the inverted wingers isn't working and has reverted to traditional ones. Yes, it's small steps but I think that AVB is improving and I think we should stick with him and make it work.

He does but if he were in a team that was coached to move the ball quickly he would move the ball quickly or be dropped for somebody that does. Bad tactics, bad selections=bad coach!

If he has no ability to manage a team why does he have the best win percentage of any tottenham manager ever, and also led us to our highest points tally in a prem season?

Ah great. The 'best points tally ever' argument again. Never mind that it only just beat Harry's total despite him switching off for a third of the season, or the squad of players he inherited, or Bale becoming a 'worldie', or the fact that four teams were able to pick up more points than us compared to only three in the previous season.

Things aren't going to get better under AVB. In fact they're clearly getting worse.
