This may well become my favourite thread
This thread should be locked until after we've played them next week..... Karma's a bitch.
All these "laugh at" threads should be locked permanently because they make us look like a small time bunch of twats.
Probably a bit premature. The warning signs are there that things could go catastrophically wrong at Chelsea this season, and it is bizarre to see the Machiavelli of football trying (and so far failing) to reinvent himself as a football purist, but no club can be considered 'in crisis' after two defeats, no matter how much the media would like to think otherwise.
Wasn't really sure where to put I but figured why not here given the context.
Event and scenario: My 4 year old daughter's football league has a British ex-pat running things with a focus on techniques and fundamentals. The kids spend the first 40 minutes of the 60 minute session doing technique and skill drills.
The drills themselves are harmless and have a fun scenario to them. For instance, they played red light/green light last night where they dribbled on green, did toe taps on yellow and stopped the ball on red. This is really bad for 4 year olds.

They don't try to teach them the logic in passing, tackling or trapping yet as it is pure chaos. It is all ball control when dribbling and getting used to the ball at their feet. I'm interested in where you see the program is going wrong.
Interesting. Thanks for the information Omar. I will say that she has taken to it and enjoys the whole session more than she did when it started six weeks ago. She has gone from only enjoying the drills to blood thirsty for goals during games but those are stories or another thread.40 minutes of drills for a 60 minute session is not recommended for 4 year olds - this is going by the FA coaching guide book.

We'll leapfrog over them by winning tomorrow.
