Even hes not a proper LB, he is trying though I give him that ... You have a team with Lamela, Soldado, Paulinho, Vertonghen and Rose as LB ... doesnt make sense does it?

I like Benny, I think he gets a lot of stick at times but he's been our most consistent left back for a long time. I would happily keep him as I think he's more experienced, if less aggressive in attack, than Rose, and better defensively too despite the odd hair-raising (pun intended) moments. He's way too good for the Championship.

No point keeping him if AVB doesn't want him but we MUST sign a replacement now, Naughton uses his left foot less than YPL did and Verts just doesn't look comfortable at left back, they are not suitable backup options. Even Rose is relatively new to the position!

You will be missed Benny! A bit sad now, even though we all could see it coming... Fantastic character and the best left back we've had for a long time. Will still follow you on twitter. Too good for the Championship... LOL!

Will really miss this guy. A big mistake if we don't sign a replacement that is at the very least better than Rose.

i'll probably get slated as i know a lot of spurs fans rate BAE but he was too lacklustre imo and often out of position however, if we don't have a replacement lined up, counting on rose and naughton is a bit silly.

AVB's attitude to BAE is one of the few things that have annoyed me about AVB - I assume he has good reason, benny could be a bit of a liability on a few occasions. Still liked him as a Spurs player - QPR's not good enough for him, but no doubt he'll be happy under Arry

It's idiotic to drop 100+ m in a transfer window on Soldado/wingers if you plan on playing 4-3-3 with shit fullbakcs. Fullbacks are the width providers in a 4-3-3, not the wingers. Yes, let's have 60 mil at the front and fucking 5m at the left back...
