Buying Ince makes no sense, unless we are planning on selling another one of our wingers. Eriksen and Lamela are locks as starters for our team, and AVB clearly rates Chadli. When you mix in Townsend, Lennon and Sigurdsson, where exactly is there space for Ince in our squad? Could it be one of the above three is moving? Sigurdsson would be the most likely candidate, but can we really afford to keep Townsend and Lennon both happy? I'm skeptical.

I'd be happy to sell Sigurdsson and Lennon if that money meant we could go out and grab a real difference maker at left back (Baines or Coentrao) or another really versatile left-sided winger not named Ince (i.e. Griezmann).

I can understand where this £45 million player being mooted is coming from because we reportedly had 50 mil to spend before the whole bale saga. So now after spending 100m and selling over 100m There is definitely room for one more cheeky investment. Also if you think about it we haven't spent any money haha we've sold more!

A few things:

Ozil is a great player but why does Wenger want him, he has an abundance of that type already. It wasn't so much the games against the top sides that let them down last season. Feels like just a marquee signing for the fans.

Why in blazes aren't United in for him, he is just what they need, relying on Giggs is embarrassing

Why the frak don't those Chelsea ***** gazump Arsenal for him like they did with Willian the shit wipes. He's a hell of a lot better than him and Oscar.

Us going for Benzema would only lead to issues, can't see him or Soldado being very happy sitting on the bench unless one played as wide forward?

apart from a new full back (one who can cross ideally) I think we still need another creative spark in the team. All our eggs in the Eriksen basket, Lamela is more a goal scorer than about assists. Soldado and Defoe will score plenty with good service

I have a feeling we will hear about a last minute bid for Damiao or Hulk

the website will probably be too busy to post tomorrow so enjoy another overhyped deadline day and goodnight!

Backing up here... The way I see it, the price is £45m, so you can narrow it down to someone off this list: http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/suche/detailsuchespieler/suche.html?searchId=1364792

From there, knock out who isn't available (keep the maybes and long shots). Then, assume that it is an attacking player. This leaves you with:

Draxler
Di Maria
Reus or Lewandowski (least likely of all)
Benzema -mentioned by The Goat
Hamsik
Ozil
Suarez
Hulk
Mata
Rooney

Any previous ITK matching to this list?

Yeah, essentially. But if we get rid of Townsend who's going to be our backup? Despite having a guy like Lamela, if he goes down we really wouldn't have another option out there. Unless of course we go for Rodrigo who is left-footed and can play out wide. Or the reports of Tom Ince are true (barf).
Townsend is not better than lennon he really really isnt. So lamela and lennon for the right is enough.

Tomorrow has an lb and damiao/lwf written all over it. I think we will do business. Carroll and siggy out on loan. Bae and ade permanent if poss. We have money and space.

I'd be happy with someone decent to compete with Rose, and a striker of some sort if Ade is off.

Coentrao on loan and Rodrigo is my semi realistic maximum result for tomorrow.

Think we may dive in with a £5m bid for Perreira if Coentrao is a no go.

I'd be ecstatic with that result in the end.

I'd love us to go all out for Baines. Fuck it, I wouldn't even be arsed if it was £20m+, we're in profit and we could easily afford it. It might be too much but sometimes you've got to pay over the odds and Everton aren't really going to be a threat with that sort of money even. I'd go as high as £18m and Benny.
As recognized as Baines is, I still think he is underrated. Truly a phenomenal fullback, and what a left peg.

I seriously cant believe this Benzema ITK. I mean, if Benzema is coming to us & Ozil is supposedly going to Arse, is RM planning to give up on title hopes ? And Madrid will go for Suarez ?

Last day of window - I cant see such movements happening.

Townsend is not better than Lennon... (Yet)..

He has potential to grow & become better as a player, Lennon on the other hand has probably reached his potential.. In my opinion Lennon lacks final crosses & isn't much of a goal scoring threat.. But for some reason i still really like him & would hate to see him leave unless AVB doesn't find him an option anymore then i would tend to trust in our boss & get over it.

What's all this hype about rodrigo. Wasn't he a flop at Bolton? Scored one goal in 19 appearances if my memory serves me right. If so that's a definite no go. Also I can see hulk being the potential signing as he can play up front and either side of midfield therefore keepin soldado happy as hulk would only play there if bobby was injured.

On the wing issue, Chadli certainly flashes potential and I think will turn out to be a good purchase, but who is there on the left side if he gets injured? AVB seems to be building a team with two potential players for each spot, and right now unless you count Siggy as a LW, there is not a right-footed winger on our team to play that left side, correct? (unless you think Eriksen can play there) Lamela, Townsend, and Lennon are RW options.

On the surface, it would make sense that one of Lennon or Townsend goes and a LW, right-footed option is brought in to go with Chadli. Siggy may be kept as a utility guy which has been mentioned in the past as something AVB also wants because he could probably slide into any of the attacking spots in a pinch although he could be out too.

I would love to go in for Baines. He would be expensive but it's possible we could do a player plus cash deal that might suit Everton. Any of Benny, Siggy or Lennon could interest them I imagine. And Everton would be a decent option for any of those players. Just a thought...

looking at how the ITK was presented, Benzema is the smoke screen so we dont get Williamed again and the real target is someone else for mine

looking at how we have spent so far Draxler seems the obvious one for mine due to his age

we'll know soon enough

Was 19 and playing in a team like Bolton. What do you expect?

I you haven't seen him play, you should trust the one's that have seen him play recently, rather than discard him for a loan spell at bolton
