There is no reason for us to stop spending if there are targets that can improve us. We were prepared to spend an additional 20 million pounds on Willian than we did on Eriksen, so there is clearly money there if AVB fancies a player or two.

When you consider that we are currently sitting at approximately a net profit of 5 million pounds this window, and we have the ultra lucrative new television deal providing an additional 30 million pounds, we should easily be able to afford another elite signing, as the GOAT indicates. At the very least, we should be expecting a left-back to be brought in.

When it comes to Suarez I havn`t really understood why he isn`t playing, because the last I read was that he intended to stay at Anfield!? Are they planning to sell him or does he strike?

Maybe they think he is so disgusting now, so they are willing to sell him to us, and there aren`t any other buyers?

There is definitely money in the bank. We were about to sign Willian for 30 million along w/ Lamela and Vlad. Instead, we signed Eriksen for only what, 10 million? That is a 20 million pound difference right there that we were more than willing to spend. We have money to spend if it is the right player. Honestly believe we need a top class LW as Chadli needs competition on that side.

The area we most need to improve is LWF. With Eriksen and Holtby now at the club we aren't going to bring in another CAM.

El Shawaary fits the bill as a LWF and 45m player. Struggling to think of many more. For 45m you're talking about world class talent and probably, potential to get even better. Draxler is the only other possibility. That would probably meet his release clause and if we offer him high enough wages, money WILL talk.

Madrid fans can't be happy if they sell Ozil surely? He's a main starter for them and even though they have signed the worlds most expensive player

he may take time to settle. Selling Ozil makes no sense.

Just cant see this £45m signing.

Doesn't make any sense for various reasons.

Think Carroll might go on loan and that'll be it.

Ade and Defoe to still be with us - a little disappointing but they are still top players.

A fantastic window.

Will look forward to seeing this new look squad gel together.

Rather glad that I've been asleep most of the day, apart from the game, as it's kept me away from here. For someone such as myself, with a delicately balanced mental state, this place could've been the death of me.

So, there's itk that we've got yet more wedge to spend and we're going to make a jaw dropping signing? Plus, there may, or may not be a goat led, A&C designed cryptic out there?

£45m? Are there any oil money clubs that need to sell players so that they meet FFP? The player would have to have been signed within the last two years or there abouts for the wages to come into account. Unless that part of FFP doesn't come in untill next season?
