I know I haven't posted much in the past but I have some bona fide info that may or may be related to transfers...

A work colleague flew from Madrid to London this afternoon. He is a casual football fan but knows I am a massive spurs fan. He texted me that Ancelotti was on his flight to London.

No idea if he is here on transfer business or not, but there you go.

Pretty sure he was on the Real bench this evening, but seriously hoping he hasn't come to snatch Bale 24 hours before deadline. Oh wait...

Just got in from work, shit day, pissed off, gutted about Capoue, thought he'd been our best player this season, gutted about Ozil going to them, haven't been able to read the whole thread, but tell me, is it being suggested that we might pay £45 million for Benzema?
Fucking hell, I hope not. Madness.

Why the heck did we announce Bale tonight if we still have deals to do tommorow . We should have waited until the window is 10 minutes shy of closing.

Theirs was the early game - finished by 2pm. But I doubt Carlo would be dealing with transfer stuff for anybody.

First, 'a £45m transfer is still to come'

Then, 'we're trying for Benzema and another, and it's one or the other rather than both'

Benzema isn't a £45m player, and there aren't any £45m players we could realistically sign.

Still think it's Draxler and when you consider Schalke are chasing Ade and Holtby possibly available for loan, I think it's something that may well be explored.

Dunno about Draxler but you raise a good point, we could effectively loan Ade to them for a year for free, because he's only gonna sit on his arse and milk his contract anyway, could be a good bargaining tool.

I guess I don't buy into any rumor in which involves Benzema leaving Real Madrid. They have already sold Higuain and don't have a lot of proven depth in the Striking dept.

We'll see who the other player is, it will be quite obvious I'm sure if he is actually attainable or if this is a pipe dream ITK once we figure out that second player. This info all seems a bit dodgy to me.

I've been thinking about it and so far we've come out of this window with a profit which leaves me to think there's monney in the bank if we need it, and I think Arsenal signing Ozil might in fact kickstart a big signing......just wishful thinking but still, it's not 100% not gonna happen....

There are two definitions that can apply to 'jaw-dropping' IMO:

1. A good player from a club that we tend not to deal with
2. A defined 'household name' player.

The first category would include players from any top English club.

In the second category there are probably only 20-25 players and nearly all of them are at petro-clubs or established CL clubs, so massive wages.

I'm struggling to work out anyone that fits the bill beyond Suarez (no chance), Hulk (how much?) or Mata (no chance) and they'd all command stupid wages too, as would any Real or Barca cast off; plus why would we pay £45 for a player unwanted by a top club? Makes no sense.
And yer El Shaarawy, or Draxler types just aren't 'jaw dropping' in any casual sense or worth £45m

In summary: Tom Carroll might get a loan tomorrow.

Ha, ha.. So the Goat is not a person, but several ITK`s!? Okay. I thought it was an ITK. I don`t feel like an idiot because of that ("Oh dear"???)..

Excuse me, but maybe I`m confused by the language, but "jaw dropping" doesn`t that mean like shocked or like paralyzed? Like your jaw is dropping down and you stand there shocked with your mouth half open? (Don`t laugh if I`m wrong)..

How can you really relate that to the biting episode of Suarez? Was that a jaw dropping episode? I don`t really get that.

When it comes to Suarez I havn`t really understood why he isn`t playing, because the last I read was that he intended to stay at Anfield!? Are they planning to sell him or does he strike?

Maybe they think he is so disgusting now, so they are willing to sell him to us, and there aren`t any other buyers?
