Its my view on it believe what you want but what we have done this summer so far is very unlike spurs.

What's 100m invested now in the playing assets against a 5-10 year plan to 'get out' on max potential of a genuine title challenging team? As you say there's naming rights, there's massive global marketing money to be reaped... etc.

How the hell does this thread KEEP going back to discussing Bale? Haven't it been said time and time again, that discussing Bale belongs in the player thread until we get some SERIOUS ITK on him? Ta.

But if Bale plays for us before the window ends I'll be gobsmacked.

I think we all know that if Real bid the right amount, Bale would be off. His injury seems very convenient considering the situation and that to me suggests he doesn't want to play for Spurs at the moment.

I'm not sure that makes him a Spurs player at the moment.

Genuine question- I'm not trying to be a prick, just not that savvy with forum etiquette...
Why are people getting on their high horse about what 'topic' or player is being discussed?? Surely it's all linked to transfer speculation- Bale or no Bale. Isn't it better all in one place so we can all dive in as supposed to 19 different threads??

PS - pretty sure Bale will be staying as I just don't think Real are prepared to pay what levy wants.

The last ITK was about Bale. There will be probably 20 more pieces of ITK about Bale before the end of the window and they'll all either be that he's staying or he's going. Unless you ban every kind of Bale talk including from ITK's, then people can't really be angry that Bale is being discussed when literally the latest piece of ITK is about him.

I agree it's extremely boring but some ITK is.

Meh, who cares. Rob or A&C will decide either way.

Has there been any further ITK on a young striker? We had a suggestion of Andrea Petagna yesterday...
I can't help thinking that if we go into the new season with 3 strikers aged 28, 29 & 30 we're asking for injury troubles.
(Can't believe JD is 31 in Oct!)

I saw Berbatov's last game for us. It was a pre-season friendly against Roma. He was cheered and applauded off the pitch when he got subbed. He then refused to play again for us, including a couple of league games.

I think we managed to get a whole season out of Modric after he declared he was leaving
