I'm sorry. But if the stories are true that he is having a massive hissy fit about the club not letting him talk to Madrid. Then get rid!

Life goes on and so will spurs.

But all the stories about Bale are just that. Stories. Please, please lets not base our opinions on these half-baked stories from journo's who need a story. Its not fair on Bale and will only be counterproductive for us fans.

I hate that line as well, it really irks me. Did Clark Carlisle say similar last night?

Bale might be pissed for a few days, a week or two at most, but that's it. Providing fans aren't booing him, he'd be back to normal in no time.

Perspective: he's still plays for a massive Club on these shores and getting paid a flipping fortune to do so.

Its the one line in football which is banded about like no tomorrow, and its a gross exaggeration in many cases I believe. Lazy clichés drive me up the wall.

Indeed. It's in Bale's interests, if he wants a transfer next summer, to play as well as he possibly can again this coming season.

I appreciate he has probably been told to keep quiet but now SSN, the papers, the redknapps are playing this 'sources close to Bale' and 'our information from within his camp' card i think Bale should come out and at least clarify his position whether he wants to go, listen to the offer, stay or whatever. I dont think how this is playing out is doing his image and reputation any good either way. I think id appreciate his opinion whatever it is (and then pray DL tells him to put on the shirt and go out there and secure our first championship in my life time at least!)

Saddest thing about all this is is it has taken the shine of possible the most exciting transfer we have ever made..

Faking injury - we have been told by the club and ITK he is injured. Lets leave it at that.

You said "Think "I" would prefer £80m than an player who wants to else where at 80% - that's your opinion and probably not shared by Levy as we have the most sought after player in the world at the moment, well at least in value. Levy aint gonna budge a penny, we all know that pretty much.

Correct on the World Cup bit (whoops on my part!) however if he did throw a stroppy pants hissy fit, we may well(unlikely) stick him in the reserves and let him rot, wouldn't do him any favours for the next transfer window.

Think you miss read my post mate I said IF he fakes injury not he is faking injury.
Of course it my opinion that's what message boards are all about isn't it? All I know is the stuff coming out of the media like anyone else and I recon most of that is horse shit as well.
I like the idea of sticking hissy fit players who demand moves (not saying bale) in the reserves to rot, but the club would be left with no player and no money

And if he comes out and states he wants to leave, it weakens our position.

Also regarding Andre's ITK status, JJ joked earlier that 'since when has the manager at Spurs had a say in who gets sold...he'll be the last to know'.

I am of the opinion that whilst that may have been true of Redknapp I'd be optimistic that Andre, having shown that he can pass a reporter without telling him everything he knows, would be trusted to at least be part of the transfer discussion.

I wonder what Baldini is up to at the moment?

jj knows the score and joke or not avb gets very little input.

Freund has more of an input thanks to his close relationship with sherwood.

No problem with this though avb is only interested on the training field, he is so intense with tactics formations. People shouldnt worry about the thought of transfers every top club make signings usually above the manager/head coach these days.

hope your well tonight jair :)

I appreciate your point but does it really? We dont sell unless they meet our enormous valuation. Bale might not be happy but he will have to accept it and move on,he choose to sign the contract. Likelihood he has a week or so off to 'clear his head'.

Could do with some ITK on some incomings in here to chew over. This thread has been 85 pages of extreme over analysis of the Bale saga. Its like we have two Bale threads.

I'm a little confused. JJ knows the score, says Bale is off. But, LLM says otherwise.

I'm confused are you saying that you agree with JJ's quip or disagreeing ?

I'm a little surprised there hasn't been some more ITK on the CB side of things. Surely we must be in complete overdrive with this right now, given the way that things have developed in terms of departures and injuries in the past fortnight ? The Bale thing is a distraction to all the posters using this thread, but it also seems like one to the people passing on info on good faith, and ultimately, there is a worry that it is also consuming the club as a whole.

I think JJ made some comment about this a week ago, along the lines of 'lets hope it doesn't envelop the whole club'.

I really hope that a whole lot of focus is being placed on getting a CB.

Yep. ITK's have gone really quiet regarding new in comings of late.

Would love to have everything sorted for Palace. Think that's asking too much though.

The press conference before was stonewalled. This one was clearly a club sanctioned riposte to the latest stories.

I fail to believe that AvB is veering from one extreme to the other without being party to the official club stance on this.

I reckon that by everyone at Spurs staying nice and quiet, they have made the media look like right muppets and Madrid staff have been made out to be liars and complete a***eholes.. The spurs players will know what the situation is , so it shouldn't upset any pre season plans.

I guess they are getting info from different sources...club vs agent for example. There will always be more than one side to a story and the conflicting ITK simply reflects this.

What troubles me with this is if AVB has very little input that means he's not even drawing up a list of targets for the chairman/committee to approve/work on etc.

I just see that as counter productive. So lets say AVB wants/needs certain players with certain skill sets, that need is just ignored. Moreover he could end up having a player that he doesn't need in terms of implementing his vision for the team and how he wants them to play. In other words that's making his job more difficult and we aren't giving him the right platform to gain the very best out of his ability.

I know some said he was unrealistic with his supposed targets last season and wouldn't budge, hence the money ball signings of Dempsey et al...but honestly that worries me.
