or even better yet: "subject to agreeing a fee, agreeing personal terms, and a medical examination"

I am confident that personal terms will not be an issue, but knowing spurs and Levy, something will probably go wrong.

I'm thinking maybe you & Mullers should continue this discussion elsewhere? I know there was ITK about the £50m earlier, but I don't know how well the MODS will take to the prolonged back & forth debating? I just don't want the thread locked :(
I'm all Levyed out for tonight mate, I'm happy to leave it there.

I'm actually not quite saying it's all good regarding targets from AVB. I'm just saying im so much happier with the targets we seem too be linked with nowadays as to before. Coincidence maybe that AVB is the man in charge to put them all together. It just seems something has changed regarding out targets. However signing them will only prove this.

As for Sandro. That was another long drawn out affair if i remember rightly. And that started before Harry took the helm ( maybe wrong on this:confused: )

And i agree about Paulinho and whether we should of gone for him......but regardless it's a bit of a coup. But i guess time will tell on this. Hope so!

And regarding Harry's problem with players he wanted. Thats exactly my point! To me his scouting network was MOTD. Didn't he want Tevez. Like that was going to happen. Think all Harry's signings came with little risk. Not a bad thing i guess. Just i'd prefer a few lesser known players that have the potential to become star players. We've just signed 2 of them....then Holtby. We didn't get these with Arry.

To be fair we were linked with the likes of Aguero, Rossi, Negredo, Leandro, Cazorla etc under Harry. Sadly being linked with players isn't the same as getting them if we can get some of the names being mentioned then fair play to AVB

Sandro was a player initiated by Ian Broomfield who Harry had brought in as head coach and I believe he was the first at the club to have noticed Leandro. Sandro was a lesser known player, Eunice was a player discarded by the club and who Harry helped get his game and confidence back on track then brought him back to us. I think he was aware of more foreign players than he gets credit for but of course when he arrived the club was at the bottom of the league and his priorities had to be to get proven PL players to help turn things around in his first window and he maybe had to spend quite a bit of transfer money to get us out of relegation trouble rather than competing for top four. The target players are different as are your options in that situation. I think overall Harry did a very good job his only real problem appeared that he could never really convince Levy on targets and when you can't do that you can't strengthen, hopefully AVB can convince him

I think that's a myth, I'm pretty sure the Modric article was just posted as a joke by Scutch today.

Nobody has a link for the supposed Modric article from last summer. The only 'evidence' presented anywhere (as far as I can see) is a screenshot of Scutch's post this afternoon in the Gareth Bale thread (http://www.spurscommunity.co.uk/index.php?threads/gareth-bale.95506/page-42#post-3460075).
Here is a link. Can't verify the veracity of it. http://www.dearmrlevy.com/dml/2013/7/26/marca-satire?

Tell Levy to buy a striker or two and pay back the 50 million debt and I will. When ever he does something right, everybody is supposed to get in line and give him a batty wash but when he does sometihing questionable, can't say anything.

Dude. It's the equivalent of an intra-group loan. In fact as DM said, I doubt it's Lewis's actual wealth. It will be a sister company. All big companies that have a large number of subsidiaries do this. All the time. Tax reasons, moving money easily, not incurring interest etc.

It's not like Joe Bloggs going to the Bank and getting 50 million to set up a cake shop. It's a very common "internal" loan.

(If it exists).

It's not like the Glazers or Arsenal's stadium.

Calm.

And lo! A&C's sphincter just twitched thrice. 'tis an omen. Obviously there is something occuring with the Soldado saga.

I've had an uneasy feeling all week about the Soldado deal and Bale. I think it was because I thought, "surely it's too good to be true to sign all these top quality players and keep Bale". But I now feel slightly different. I'm pretty convinced Soldado is happening, and I would be very surprised if Bale went.

But it's just not Tottenham.

Not that I doubt your sphincter (even though it has taken a hammering recently) but do we have any thing slightly more reliable to back this up on?

Dude don't do it to yourself. I agree about Bale but Soldado? Thinking we will sign him will only make you depressed and irritable and leave you with an inability to maintain an erection. At least that's what i've heard has happened to one or two people

It does IMO, why all of a sudden would he state such a random comment about there best player! That's like AVB coming out tomorrow and saying Bale is not bigger Spurs. Although true it's not the smartest comment to make

Because it helps stem the barrage of questions that are likely to follow him ending the sentence he's speaking. No matter what he says, it's just a matter of time before he's asked about their prized asset (just like AVB does with us about Bale). By getting in an early statement, it eliminates a significant line of questioning, simply because he can say, "I covered that earlier".

What do you know? :cautious:
I'm not sure. This has only happened to me three times before, once when the Benteke new contract stuff happened. The second time was when we signed Paulinho and another time when I fell asleep round Oddie's house and woke up blindfolded and tied to his pool table with the 8 ball stuffed in my gob and feeling very sore down there.
