I got really put off Lopez when we played Lyon in the Europa League. Found him to be an absolute cheat, I know it was only 2 matches so hardly representative but he must have dived over 20 times in 180 mins.

I don't believe he was a signing of AVB. But I agree completely with your point. I would prefer to see Carroll loaned and if we are deadset on bringing McCarthy in to sell Livermore, Huddlestone and Parker even if they all go out with fees below what Levy deems as their market value.

What is the point in Huddlestone deciding to stay? I can only think it's to do with not having the balls to take on a new challenge. ITK has suggested McCarthy is going to come in, so we'd have;

Sandro, Livermore, Paulinho, McCarthy, Dembele, Holtby, Carroll, Sigurdsson. That's 8 other players (Parker hasn't even gone yet) competing for 3 spots.

He's got no chance of featuring next year.

I can't believe Siggi has asked to go on loan already. He made 32 appearances last season and will probably see plenty of game time this season - even if we do bring in McCarthy. I just don't buy it.

He did not say Coentrao was our target.

Honestly, the one strange loan I wouldn't be absolutely surprised to see would be Holtby which would absolutely break my heart.
