he also values the importance of buying youth and potential.
That approach had virtually died out under Redknapp, much to the detriment of the club's longevity. Of the 20 first team players the current QPR boss purchased during his spell at the club (who had an average age of 28.45), only seven are still there – three of those (Jermain Defoe, Brad Friedel and Scott Parker) have little long-term future.

Paulinho - Sandro - Dembele

Bale - Villa - Bernard

This would be the best transfer window we've ever had if it all comes through IMHO, sadly I feel we may get Paulinho and Villa but not Bernard :(

Hope you guys don't miss up on Mexico v Brazil. Massive game! Hope Brazilians put those Mexicans back in their place, they think they are equals to Brazil, but in reality they only have two outstanding players to thank for their rise in quality, Chicha and GDS.

The Goat has a source who says that he's hearing David Villa could be the main attacking target and there is a very good chance we'll get him. The interesting thing was he said he expected Defoe and Ade to stay as it is felt that we need premier experience up top. This source is a seperate to todays earlier updates but equally trustworthy.

Now that really is interesting. I really want Villa.

Think this is more likely :

Paulinho - Sandro - Dembele

Bale - Adebayor - Villa

I can really see it happening too! Villa wants to play as a starter, has a point to prove and seems to be interested in a Project (and isn't horrifically expensive). He was born to play for Tottenham...!

Edit: sorry, hope that made sense. Just finished lunch. ;)

Personally reckon we need Villa plus one unless we are very confident that Ade can return to form.

Think we need at least one striker with a bit of physical presence.

so if we do end up just getting villa, keep defoe and ade (as suggested by The Goat), our strikers during the stages of next season will be at the ages of 30,31,32

A little worrying I guess, but i'm not that bothered really. Things can change and if we do sign someone else there's every chance one of them might still move on.

Got a good feeling. We have everything that Villa needs to be happy

1) We don't have any diminutive Argentine superstars
2) He won't share a dressing room with any Spanish tax evaders
and
3) Messi will be 924 miles away

What more could he ask for?

The goat wanna shed any loan / permanent ideas on David Villa?
Certainly not. The Goat tells what he hears, there's nothing else to add right now.

The Goat has also seen what happens when JJ gets involved in Q&A's and will not be pampering the fishwife fraternity.

The thought of Villa and Bale together is almost too much to handle. I think Villa has become undervalued and under appreciated in a lot of ways, the guy is still a top five out and out striker in the world, imo, not his fault he got lumped on the left to cater to Messi.
