If JJ's insider is Shirwood then would it not make sense if he is a little disgruntled as by all intents and purposes he was the acting DOF. If some foreign lad came in and took your job because your manager thaught you weren't good enough, would u not be pissed off and bad mouth him to your mates regardless of his ability. What I am understanding from all this is that all our transfer dealings are very hush hush this summer. News about a new sticker is almost non existant and the only real rummers are coming from players agents not our ITK regs, they just seam to be picking up bits and pieces once a agent/president has claimed something in the press. The one thing that is worrying is that it looks like our new kit won't be coming out anytime soon as we don't seem to have a sponsor. If Levy is going to be running around trying to sort this out in the next few weeks don't expect any imminent transfer dealings ether.

I don't see much point in speculating as to who that might be because we don't know wether its first or second or third hand information that got to JJ or whose nose might be put out of joint if we do recruit Baldini.

But all of this stuff about it being JJ's 'opinion' is so far wrong that it's almost as laughable as you can get. There is no way he would know such a thing. It's blatantly been fed to him. Which brings us to our 'Don't shoot the messenger' policy.

So again i'll ask, has there been a mass outbreak of fuckwittery or something? Some of you are supposed to be seasoned ITK watchers and like to think you are rational sensible posters, not fucking screaming virgins recoiling in horror at the sight of a buttplug and ski mask being pulled out of a Aldi's carrier bag.

OK, I'll try and find some sort of positive spin, to hopefully stop the JJ bashing (doesn't bother me, I just don't want this section locked)..

Here's how it is. The club (Levy, AVB, Lewis etc) have all sat around and taken stock of their plans so far.

They are very close to capturing Paulinho, Bernard, David Villa, Damiao & Pele (I may have added that last one in).

They are also absolutely over the moon with Baldini, because it is he who has been on the blower to the aforementioned players and convinced them that THFC is the place to be (apart from Pele, because I made that part up & he wouldn't have been able to answer the phone anyway, due to the fact he was down the chemist picking up his Viagra)...

After the 'power men' within THFC had concluded their discussion about how unbelievably happy they are with the fact that business has gone so well, and have all mutually agreed that we are about to enter a season which will see us crowned PL Champions & FA Cup winners, they unanimously agree that they'll get in touch with the guy who gives JJ info, who will, in turn, say that our transfer dealings have been shit, Baldini is wank & knows nothing and our season is screwed before it's even began.

And to think some people on here don't think clubs use smokescreens anymore!! :whistle:

I agree, though I would take it more as Baldini doesn't have a clue who we are after (at the moment, as he hasn't officially started work for us yet maybe), not a slight on his ability. Though having said that, others in he converstaion say he isn't much good, so you never know!

Baldini would not have such a close long term working relationship with one of the most successful managers of all time, Fabio Capello if he was a snake oil salesman

I think we treat ITK way too seriously. Not me, of course. I'm here for the sheer entertainment. While there is always an amount of truth to anything said, where that truth lies in the overall narrative is never given to us. Sometimes we figure it out in hindsight. Mostly we just get another piece of news and forget it.

You have to try to enjoy this. You can only take the information for what it is.....potential information rather than definite information. Because even when an ITK is 100%, things change quickly. I seriously doubt any ITK ever has made a statement that they didn't believe to be true. Adiepf for all of his histrionics, believed his stuff. Same for Aqka. They may not have been right, but they were not lying. Seriously, the idea of an actual wind-up merchant is stupid. Sure, you might have gotten that crap on the old 606, but there's nothing to be gained from it here. They don't exist. So i If you come into this expecting gratification or concrete information, it will lead you to the point that many seem to be at today.

Just to remind you, that last year in the first half of June, the news was just as depressing and where did we end up? Great young manager, recruiting one of the 50 best players in the world, selling Modric and VDV and yet still getting better.

It's going to be okay. It really is.

Sorry but you don't get to choose what an ITK gets to say, you only get too choose what you yourself listen and pay attention too.

I don't like what he said, but everyone needs to get off his back
