I would like to see Livermore loaned out for the season.

I cant remember if he has ever had a good run in the Premiership yet and think it would be good to see what he can do.
Even if its just to increase his price a bit, but think he could get into a mid table team

He's played 57 times now for the first team. I think the club know by now whether or not he's going to be good enough. I suspect he will be on his way.

We're all still a bit traumatized by the mass PM of your waxed balls to those who donated, yesterday. It was meant as a joke and then suddenly you get a PM from the Prime Minister with the heading "For Your Eyes Only" and you end up in the fetal for six hours crying "Why God Why?".
I'm getting an ad for 'hippo bag', I'm guessing it's because of this post

57 games and I really can't remember one stand out game or moment from the lad.

The one I remember was home to Everton in the 11/12 season, we won 2-0 i believe with Benny scoring a rocket, Livermore played very well that game.

He's a very simple player in that he doesn't do anything flash but when he had a run of games, he was fairly effective in his remit of playing it safe and letting the more creative elements flourish further ahead.

I don't see him having a future with us personally but I could certainly see a move to Norwich or Stoke materialising and him being pretty competent there.

Is that 57 games in a variety of positions? Don't tell Hudd - he'll be right round! ;)

Edit - sorry just realised that's the second condiment/food joke I've attempted to make today. Note - must stop. Ketchup with you later.

Agree with this.

He's not outstanding but I don't think anyone ever thought he would be. He does his job and that job is pretty effective. Obviously not at the same level, but people used to say the same thing about Makalele (i.e. that he never stood out) but that doesn't make him a bad player.

I think that considering the level we want to be at, Livermore will have to move on, but I think he'd be a good buy for plenty of Premiership teams.

I don't think Livermore has enough to make it at the top end of the prem, decent player, composed, tidy in possession but not that creative and not really a good tackler, good alrounder but lacking any exceptional skills

Naughton, Livermore and Defoe to Nowrich for 17m sounds good to me. Would be slightly concerned with having the HG quota though

home grown quota isnt a massive issue as long as we leave space or name youngsters

Why? Dawson, Walker, Caulker, Rose, Lennon, Huddlestone, Parker, Townsend, Carroll, Mason?, Smith, Rose, Kane, Fryers?, Defoe, Coulthirst?.. Is Bale not also classed in that bracket?

Fair few names to juggle around there mate.

EDIT: Apparently Sigurdsson is also classed as Home Grown (Thank You nightgoat)
