Yeah, his name is freaking brilliant.

Also, Andre Carrillo would be a fantastic addition. He's a RW that while not scoring many goals does look to have the potential to score more (he's got a great shot on him).

Other players I'd LOVE to see us interested in from Sporting: Andre Martins, Zakaria Labyad and Eric Dier.

Somebody said this to me on another site, do you know anything about either player?

"How about EDER at SC Braga who AVB knows from his Academica days? Due to his knee injury last season he might be available under buy out fee but considering how be bossed the ManU defence in the CL he'd be an excellent signing. Braga play a counter attacking one man up front game. As a back up we could chase the younger and even bigger 6'4" Amido Balde who is increasingly turning heads"....

"Damiao will be announced before Brazil play England"

LOL, some people don't half chat some shit.
Actually. It was Leandro Damiao will be a Spurs player before Brazil play England. For all we know, he already is.

Well RyanTegan has said we have TV money.. Apparently £55m, plus whatever we recoop from wages/fees, perhaps we will finally go all out and get someone like Bernard. Its not very Levy, but I think if we want to move on, we need to do non Levy things for a while.

Eder is basically Adebayor with a better first touch and a few years younger. He attacks the ball better the air as well. Seriously though, whenever I watched him it just reminded me of Adebayor. He's very good at getting other players involved, he can body up defenders on the ball as he waits to play others in and he's got a decent shot on him. He's a good player and he's been consistent for Braga.

I'm personally not a big fan of Balde. To be fair, I haven't seen him play much, but when I have he's been pretty 'meh.' He's only 22, and he does show some signs of being a quality striker, but I think I'd like to see more out of him. He can be a bit clumsy on the ball, a little selfish at times, but when he does try to actively get other players involved he can be a pretty good player. I just think he needs to develop more of the mental part of the game before being a really good striker.

Rule 1 of ITK: never stick a timeframe on it. This isn't to do with inaccuracy of information, it's because a lot can change in a transfer. It's only concrete when it's done.

I'm sure somebody on here said the other day that there's a stipulation in the FFP rules that says clubs can't use more than £4mil of that per season?

Thanks for that, Snarf. Eder sounds quite good and was actually linked with us for a summer move.. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...der-to-replace-emmanuel-adebayor-8515044.html

I think its the wages that can't go up more than £4m a year (providing you are over a certain criteria - which we are). Levy touched on it in his end of season statement.

Getting rid of Bentley, Gallas and Gomes' wages will free up a big chunk, so we should have plenty to play with. I'm sure clubs will find a way of getting around it with bonuses/signing on fee's anyway.

Ah now that rings a bell. The thing on here the other day could well have been "FFP rules say you can't use more than £4mil of that on wages".. Hopefully somebody will be able to remember properly.

The problem is that our PL competitors will have more money as well, which means likelyhood of inflating prices. I hope that is something Levy is ready to adapt to in this transfer window. For example Arsenal seem to share many transfer targets with us, such as Villa and PEA.

Fair point. Im still hoping that the interview that was supposedly on BarcaTV (David Villa) was true. Villa basically said that there is an offer from Spurs on the table, and he is interested and that it is possible. Only seen it on twatter though.
We have offered the most money apparently though.. (to villa)

Before we all panic it's worth noting that Monaco apart, nobody has done much yet.
And if you do want to panic anyway, just remember that Villas-Boas had a list of cracking players last year and we bought none of them. Really hoping his influence is on the up...

As for increased TV money and a big spend, dream on IMO. Levy is the biggest cheerleader FFP has got and the budget is likely pretty fixed & partially reliant on sales.

But we're all having fun dreaming aren't we? I am... ;)

If the wage bill is above £52mill per year, the club can only use £4m for wages. Hope that clears it up for you.
