Muller definitely needs to leave Bayern this summer. Out of all the players at big clubs that have been mentioned this is the one I reckon could happen.

I put this on the other thread last night but bears repeating with the ITK:
During the time that Freund was assistant head coach to the German under 20s, Thomas Muller was selected once and scored once.
So they do know each other. And it could well be a help to us if we want him.
I think he'd be ideal. He'd cover positions across the right and up front, is young enough to improve and has a knack of scoring goals. I appreciate he's had a mixed time at Bayern and wasn't everyone's favourite player at the Euros, but I thought he looked Bayern's most potent forward in the Champions League final, was rewarded with his goal and I was amazed when they took him off, they looked a lesser side in extra time without him.
Would be well pleased if we picked him up.

I'm not sure that follows. It could be that AVB's decided to stick with Brad and Heurelho for this season. Let's face it, we could do a lot, lot worse, and I don't subscribe to the view that a new GK's a vitally pressing need this summer.

I did ponder as to what possible input Freund may have in this - obviously quite a bit by the sounds of it!
I wonder, did he help develop Muller through Germany's youth side at all?

I thought the "wanting and getting" quote came from Akqa in ref to falcao after jj rubbished it? seems afew on here think muller could be a very good versatile purchase. Let's hope it comes off

I don't think he did. Think they missed each other as Mueller rose through the ranks and then Freund went off to Nigeria. He may have coached once or twice, though.

Three goalkeepers are usually a pre-requisite for a season campaign, albeit one is usually an inexperienced youth/academy product.
In any case, this will surely be Brad's last season and who knows what the future holds of Gomes. As it stands, a viable opportunity to sign a top internationally rated goalkeeper in the prime of their life in Lloris doesn't come around too often so I'm all for pre-empting change at goalkeeper to fast track getting a great long term replacement in.
Excuse me? I never said i had itk on blanc would be the next manager none of my posts ever said that! but it would of been my choice thou tbh! And my info came in gd faith and loris was not a harry choice and was not on our targets list but that has changed since avb has taken over! and since harry has gone i aint had Much ITK!
How can u say my ITk is poor? Just bashing ITK! Tbh!
