The Turkish journalist told me levy and pep defo had a meeting! He was told by two Spanish reporters before the Spain vs Ireland match.

BUT that was on here a couple of weeks ago. That's nothing new!

Yeah, Fuck-All-Friday!!!

:(

Right, it's been alluded to on here that AVB might not be able to take us over til July 1st cos of some contract thing with Chelsea (or similar) and the idea has taken root a bit and been suggested elsewhere and in the media and what have you.

What I do know (and I can't account for the rest of the site or anywhere else cos I live in mainly in here and remember WE ARE SKY SPORTS SOURCES) is that on 21st of June, late at night after JJ had spoken, I had a thought and it hadn't been suggested in these threads before, I wrote:

In response to JJ's 'Manager is more complicated' comment.
Is it possible that AVB has a clause in his Chelsea contract payoff preventing him from taking over us or anyone prior to a certain date? If he had, that would certainly be 'complicated' and could prevent an appointment before a particular time.
I know f-all about such contracts but just wondered, cos if Abramavich has paid AVB £13m or whatever to get rid, he probably wants AVB to F-the F-off for a while. Maybe if we want AVB we're talking compensation?

The next morning it got paraphased a bit and talked about...
Is it true? Fuck knows! I know nothing. Is it true that I originated the theory? I dunno, but if I did, it shows just how acorns can grow into big ole trees and guesswork can become rumour, rumour can become more rumour and we're none the wiser.

Now? I quite like the 'We want everyone to wear their shiny new kits' theory myself, or the 'We're gonna take over the world with our manager, players, kit and stadium' mega press conference theory...

And i'm SO hopeful for the future. These are great times to be a Spurs fan.

That's just as likely as anything else. Can you imagine the reaction if the new signings were photographed in last year's shirt, the day before the new shirts were launched! Erh, FECK!

Night all

C'mon, wages would be well over 100k so others would want parity. Even with the investment being talked about it wouldn't be sustainable.

Trying to stay level headed, we know what usually happens when we get linked to a massive name.
