From what I saw of Afellay at Euros he was more a goals form the side type hole player. All the Afellay talk seems to have died down.

Think Niko, playing in his natural position, but with more mobility. He switches play very well, and as we all know he's got an eye for goal. I think Afellay would definitely suit us a lot better at the moment, as he'd give us great competition for Lennon. However, for the price, and the fact that we have no back-up for VDV now thsat Niko's gone and it looks like Pienaar's off, I think buying Gylfi would be a very, very smart move for the price.

Cheers. They all seem pretty convinced he's theirs. The Rodgers link is a compelling argument, especially as (as far as we know....) he doesn't know who will be managing him if he came here. If this is true and he is ours, it suggests to me that we have made a lot of progress towards a new manager.

If the take over rumours are true, don't you think it's a bit odd that the incumbent owners would make such a massive decision to sack the manager?

Thats why i think it's probably bollocks. But really hope I'm wrong. It would be great to wake up one morning and find out we have been taken over by some gaziilionaire and we splash some serious cash!

I can't believe we'd sign players without a manager - would Levy do that? I doubt it. So either the manager situation is sorted or we're not signing Sigurdsson...

I would think it was a very sensible decision. If you were mega rich, would you trust Harry with your cash? The only place he'd know how to spend it wisely at is Pets At Home!

New owners, but Levy still as chairman as had been suggested?

No.

Manager will have been consulted, hence the delays. I think the delays in announcement is due to the takeover.

Yep, visited to test it and my system quarantined a TrojanDownloader and two Java exploits all rated Severe.
