Blanc - Brilliant record with France and Bordeaux. Anyone who was able to deal with the mess France were in 2 years ago gets my vote. Has experience of playing in Premier League too, so not a complete unknown to him.

If blanc gets appointed I wonder how much brownhead has cost the sc members on betting for avb. I cant see him being to popular if the frenchman is appointed.

That's actually exactly what I was thinking, I was going to edit the post to make reference to the Redknapp/England situationIndeed. I'd prefer a manager who doesn't lose focus on the job in hand
