Such a strange set of affairs that at this stage of the off-season we would be contemplating a manager switch. I understand that negotiations can be timely and sensitive -- still, Levy has always struck me as more decisive than this. If a decision is to be made, I hope they do so over the next five days -- otherwise it could serioulsy jeapordize our transfer dealings this summer.

Im going to be fuckíng furious if we throw our first 2-3 games leaving it til last minute. Again

Sounds like big problems at WHL

The Harry farce, Levy entertaining offers for VDV, transfers on hold, the turmoil JJ hinted at

Not good

I think Moyes has been under massive pressure at Everton.
They are one of the traditional Big Five, just like we are.
I think Kenwright has put him in a position of trying to maintain their position, while he tries to save the club financially. Relegation for Everton would be a major disaster.
He has also had the pressure of building a half-decent team and attaining CL football, and then watching it systematically asset-stripped, without any funds to buy, to compensate. I am sure I would feel pressurised in that position.

Were one of the traditional big 5 SP, that little elite club has long gone........and whilst i agree he has pressure he has the get out card of Everton have no money, and he is working wonders on his small budget, that in itself relieves the pressure somewhat, i think he will get a shock coming to somewhere like the Lane where 4th ,5th, 4th and CL qt final is deemed failure and sackable by alot of our deluded fans.

Why do we always take 1 step forward only to take 2 fucking backwards??? ALL THE FUCKING TIME! :(

We're on the verge of big things - so what do we do? We implode. That's great.

What is it they say: It's the hope that kills you.

Running a football club cannot be easy, especially with Harry 'big gob' Redknapp as manager. We were bound to be teetering on the edge of self implosion with him as manager.

Baines would be £18m minimum. He's an improvement on Benny but not to that extent.

Moyes - no thanks, would be like having George Graham back at spurs, Everton are dire to watch

Baines - very good player but not at the prices suggested, if he was Korean or French he would be half that, no way should we pay stupid money for a minor upgrade on BAE

Capello - Dinosaur, would hardly inspire our players with his Manuel out of Fawlty Towers level of English

What is it they say: It's the hope that kills you.

I used to say that until my father got shot in the face by a bullet. It was definitely more bullet than hope that killed him. That and the fact that we are Christian Scientists and I wouldn't take him to the hospital. So maybe a little bullet, a little incompetence. Oh and I shot him in the face because I was on meth, but to my defense, I thought he was wolpertinger and I really wanted to prove my neighbor, who is always on about "science" wrong. But I was "hoping" he was a wolpertinger.

So
1) bullet
2) incompetence
3) meth
4) wolpertingers
5) science
6) hope

The point is that I am not to blame.

On the other hand, maybe the horrors I've endured can show us the value of not overreacting to Chinese Whispers.

See, Levy/Harry is my father. The wolpertinger is our need for immediacy. The meth is ITK. And the bullet is probably a bullet the way people are talking here.

True but I was referring to Vertonghen, it is ages ago he should have signed

But JJ did negative rep me when I said that Levy would tell Schalke to fuck off

I'm sure levy like any chairmen would talk to other clubs about players. It doesnt mean he has tomor is going to sell

Personally don't believe any of this turmoil rumours, just a couple of media outlets as usual, trying to stir crap and make issues to disrupt us.
Thanks for the ITK and I know you're passing on in good faith, but over the past years I have seen ITK being used more about opinion rather than genuinely getting a lot right. I can see Redknapp in charge 1st game of the season.

Anything JJ says is pretty much gospel tbh, he either sits at the very top table at spurs or is very close to someone who does

It is JJ that used the word turmoil so if he says it it has to be taken v seriously

Capello may not be as bad a club manager as many would have you believe. He is one of the most if not the most experienced manager we could get.

not really but the goat said harry is staying and has now said harry may be leaving and moyes has been mentioned.

Perhaps I should point out that if I were in receipt of some bona fide ITK and didn't wish to be branded a bullshit artist or WUM I would apprise the Great Wise Ones of my information and ask them to post it under the aegis of the Goat.

The Goat isn't just one source; he is many.

This itk smells like my sex panther colonge :cautious:
:giggle:

Please, Sir....I'm frightened :eek::eek::eek:

There are pro's and con's with all prospective appointments, what I saw was a manager who was hamstrung by the Hicks Gilette feud. I take into account his 2 La Liga and Eufa cup wins with Valencia, his success at Liverpool and would consider that if the position as manager were to become vacant, on balance he should be given consideration for his achievments.

You misunderstood.
Of course he is a credible candidate. I never said he wasn't.
Moyes is a credible candidate, and I will argue with anyone that he is also a good candidate for us.
I didn't say he wasn't a credible candidate...I said it was possible to not want him at WHL, without it just being for personal reasons.
I reached this conclusion after considering all of the pros and cons - I am sure he wouldn't have got this far in management without having virtues. I just happen to think the cons outweigh the pros, and object to being told that I can only be doing so for the most facile of reasons.

And, of course, if we did appiont him, I would be his number one fan - I could never purposefull want a manager or player to fail just to be proven right, that means wanting the team to fail, and I couldn't do that.
