Martinez may be entitled to some of the credit for Swansea, in some verying degree, but it is impossible to know how much...but that doesn't mean that Rodgers doesn't deserve any, or, even, the lions share.

Absolutely SP.

One season wonder? Give him another year where he is, or maybe he should move up a tier to Villa/Everton. However, we're competing for highlt-paid top-class Internationals who will want to compete in Europe. Why appoint someone who has proved for one season that he can get some decent results playing football the way Liverpool did under Roy Evans?

If we want to be a club who will gamble on a relatively unproven manager in the hope he can make the step up then we can't be disappointed if we're 7th next season. If we want the romance of young man with a football plan we must be willing to accept second best. We're not. We need top 4 next season, and we need someone whose credentials live up to that billing.

Risk management /= taking a gamble.

Yeah yeah dislike it as much as you like. There's 50 other threads where you can discuss it.

As for JDs itk, I wonder why no one else is looking at Damiao? I know it's not neccessarily indicative of how a player will pan out, but that doesn't give me the warmest feelings.

Probably because they're asking £20M for someone who's never played outside of Brazil.

Anyone else think the lack of comment from POTL, improves the chances of the reliability of the recent ITK as you would think he would be the first to quash them ( If he is close to Levy of course). If they were true he would have reason to withold the information.

Had a rare bit of info from someone that has a very good source who works with the first team that Harry is expected to be leaving this Friday. Passing on in good faith.....

*waits for meltdown*
Que the Harry v anti-Harry flame wars, followed by another cooling off period for the thread, followed by bannings to set an example.

As for the summer window, lol oof, there could be massive changes galore. From Modric and Harry out, to actual strikers in. Could be some weird shit in the water in North London this summer.

But it is the SC way to discuss everything to death everywhere.

I'll be sad if Harry goes because I think he has been excellent for us - but I guess he is getting older so maybe he just can't be viewed as a long-term prospect for us.
