Lifeof clearly thinks gavspur has passed off crap ITK and has been caught out by Whitestripe. Talk about getting the wrong end of the stick! He's obviously not understood the concept of chinese whispers.

I think lifeof must be high or something today, only a few pages ago he was constantly asking ackie or anyone else to clarify what ackie was saying in a perfectly clear post.

ITK forum seems to be driving people demented at this stage, someone should urge Levy to make some signings in the public interest, or risk another rage outbreak on the streets of London.

I completely disagree with this, Krancjar does not have the work rate to play behind the front man, if you htink VDV leaves the lone striker isolated at times Krancjar would be much much worse. His best position is wide left, where he can drift inside, striking the ball with his stronger foot.

What I don't get is people making out that it's daft to play him on the left, he was excellent there for us 2 seasons ago. OK they may be able to put forward a decent case for using him more central, but there is no need to attempt to diminish his contribution from lm.

Jose Mourinho believes his Real Madrid squad is almost complete, but he is looking to bring in another forward.

Los Blancos saw arch-rivals Barcelona continue their dominance of Spanish and European football last season, leaving those at Santiago Bernabeu to return to the drawing board.

It has been decided that a summer shake-up is required to inject fresh impetus into a squad that was able to land the Copa del Rey in 2010/11.

Subsequently, Nuri Sahin, Hamit Altintop, Fabio Coentrao, Raphael Varane and Jose Callejon have been added to the Real roster.

Mourinho feels that Real are heading in the right direction, as they seek to mix experience and youth, but he is of the opinion that extra firepower is required.

Dimension

He has been linked with moves for Atletico Madrid frontman Sergio Aguero and Brazilian sensation Neymar, and the Portuguese tactician is hoping to land another of his top targets before the transfer window slams shut.

"We decided to improve and balance the squad without ever losing the dimension of creating a team for the future," Mourinho told Real's official website.

"We have signed players whom we felt were important to complete a squad that was already very strong.

"In my opinion, and in that of everyone, we are missing one more man, one more attacker

Not a bad option given that there are worse strikers in the premier league at the moment...

... and most of them play for Spurs

Teteh Bangura was mentioned here earlier. He´s currently with AIK in Sweden. Scored four goals last night... Not a marquee signing, but maybe a backup?

He's great. Something like 56 goals in 70 league appearances (according to wikipedia). Could be pretty cheap as well, max £5m?

Interesting, that would mean that they don't want Adebayor then.

I think it's best for everybody at SC if Levy would bring somebody in. The longer it drags out, the more we all freak out that we'll be left holding our sack once again come September 1st!!

If we go on without "Big" signing until August, I think most people will have had a mild stroke!!

Agree with all the Kranjcar stuff. Clearly his best position is VDVs position but Harry has an obsession with playing him on the left. I would defo keep him to rotate with VDV.

We need a striker so bad it's depressing. Of the current lot I think Keano would genuinely be my first choice, purely for his work rate.

Surely Levy can see that he needs to get his cheque book out if he wants to join the big boys. Just bite the bullet little man!!!

I bet, as a Spurs fan himself, Levy would love to do so, but he is also more aware than any of us that the deadwood needs to be shifted in order to free up space in the wage budget.

Going out now and adding 200k+ per week on a couple of marquee signings is too much of a risk until we are sure the likes of Bentley, Keane, Jenas, Hutton etc have been or will be shifted.

I think we have the funds available for transfer fees, even for £30m signings, but the real issue is the bloated squad which has had little trimmed off it so far.

I really can't see us getting Rossi, never have really, We obviously like him but that doesn't mean he will be wearing a Spurs shirt next month.

Strikers I could see as realistic would be a Barrios or a Keissling. Falcao, Rossi and Llorente to me are all a little bit of a step to far right now. An Odemwingie is probably the likely outcome though.

Haven't heard us linked with him for a while, a much cheaper option than others. 6 foot 2 and age 26, definitely fits the bill :hump:

Odemwingie is terrible, no no no.

It's most depressing when we constantly discuss Rossi, Llorente, Adebayor, Leandro and co ....... yet our open transfer discussions are for Ceballos, Bothroyd, 2 Russians I've never heard of, Samba, Diarra (good) and Pedroza.

Reality hurts

I think you're part right. But the problem is that Levy wants to get the maximum return possible on the deadwood, which means waiting until teams get desperate at the end of the window before selling them, which means we in turn get desperate and struggle to find a new striker for a decent price (as prices are all inflated in the last few days of the window) and end up either empty handed or with Frazier Campbell on loan, which many would say is the same thing

Leaves question marks over Benzema still too?

I think he means he is happy with the current squad as it stands, so Benzema, Higuain and then wants to add one other. Surprised Real aren't in for Rossi really, he would be a good fit for them.

Yeah, it was just amusing to see you scrambling round for an explanation of what was pretty clear if you read it calmy.

Most amusing was your second (I think) post where you bolded part of his post massively and asked again what he meant, which was posted directly after a clear explanation. In my head you were running round in circles desperately grasping at people to explain what he meant.

This is the recurring theme of the ITK forum, people going nuts thinking there is something of incredible importance in any given post.

or they are gonna sell either benzeman or highain

He says he is happy with the current squad apart from needing to sign one more striker. He doesn't say he will sign Adebayor and as he has already left their squad and is back with City this rules him out of it IMO.
