It is our FIRST ever Champions League campaign.
We have made it to the Quarter Finals of the most prestigious competition in WORLD FOOTBALL. We've knocked out AC Milan. Not only beat but ran all over the current holders Inter Milan. We've beaten FC Twente, champions of Holland and recent champions of Germany, Werder Bremen...
This competition as well as our Premiership season has put Gareth Bale on the map as one of the greatest footballers today.
Last year, Crouch scored that goal which got us into the Champions League qualifiers and then if that wasn't enough, he scored the hat-trick that got us out of deep shit from Young Boys to put us through into the groups...
Dont get me wrong, I feel we need a world class striker and we need to possibly get rid of two or three players but all this talk of Harry out, Crouch fucked it, its time for him to go... What are you saying?
Crouch let us down last night but really whats happened here is that angry and upset supporters have come on and spoke about how its all his fault, off with him and never see him in a spurs shirt again please. Get a grip. I'm upset and wondering why Crouch had done something like that and that his experience should of taken over and known not to of dived in but only the weak start saying such fickle things such as what's been said.
We've come so far from where we were 2 years ago. People would of laughed if I told them we would be in the Champions League Quater Finals 2 years from now. Yes, we lost 4-0 to one of the best teams in the world but if its any team thats going to come back from 4-0 down... Its Tottenham.
From this loss comes so much gain, you wouldn't even know. Last year, we lost to Portsmouth in the Semi Finals of the F.A. Cup and we came back from that game stronger. than. ever. What ever happens from this day forward is a lesson that every single Spurs player, Manager and even (hopefully) us fans can take from a game like yesterdays.
I wrote this because I'm so so proud of Tottenham. We didn't deserve to lose 4-0 but we did and unfortunately thats the reality of it but its not finished. Remember that.
I hope someone can agree with me and also hold their head up high and know that we've come so far and no matter what happens, its been a success either way and we've benefitted from this in so many ways, I cant even describe.
