As the lovely Karren Brady spouts another pile of shite from her fat ugly face today, I can't help but wonder what is our PR team actually doing?
If I recall correctly, we recruited a PR man last year and the assumption was that he'd be used to help our bid for the OS. The silence from them though has been pretty deafening. I know there've been various interviews with Levy on the radio after the last couple of weeks, but that's been about it as far as I know.
West Ham on the other hand, along with the likes of Seb Coe and various other athletes, have been criticising the Spurs bid left right and centre by using various facts figures and statistics that are incorrect (the cost of the stadium being £500m for instance when that's the cost for the whole site, not just the stadium). There never seems to be any response from Spurs either correcting what West Ham are saying or just to even let the public know what the real situation is.
The main news outlets have been criticising the Spurs bid without knowing or using all the facts, and as usual the general public seem to be lapping up everything they say. If everyone knew what the real situation is would the polls still be the same?
It could be that the Spurs PR team are working silently behind the scenes, advising the real situation to the people who matter instead of spouting off to the media like Brady seems to do all the time. If this is the case then I praise them for not getting drawn into a public argument but at the same time if Spurs DO get the bid, then the public will automatically be in uproar against it because they weren't made aware of the real facts.
We know the following on here because we're pretty clued up:
For the record I want us to stay at WHL, but I don't like seeing the club being criticised and ridiculed in the media and not give a proper response.
Cheers.

We know the following on here because we're pretty clued up:
- The cost of the actual stadium is in the region of £80m, not £500m
- It was always designed to be knocked down after the games
- Spurs will be redeveloping Crystal Palace to fulfill the legacy as promised in our bid
- We will use parts of the OS to help redevelop Crystal Palace
- Spurs will fund the training of 5(?) young athletes for the 2016 games
- Spurs will add various other things to the olympic site if we get the bid to keep it a place for the general public to visit and not just reduce it to a football stadium (not just the tie-in with AEG but other stuff too)
- Spurs will financially help all London boroughs involved in the olympics
- Lease payments for the stadium will mean the taxpayer is not suffering
- Knocking down a £500m stadium
- getting rid of the athletic legacy that was promised in our bid.
For the record I want us to stay at WHL, but I don't like seeing the club being criticised and ridiculed in the media and not give a proper response.
