We just get too bloody complacent against the shit teams, turn up with a swagger on match day thinking its going to be an easy win and reality bites us up the arse because we haven't trained hard enough because we didn't take the little side seriously

First Stoke now this, while I was not at the training ground this week my OPINION is that the players thought "aah 3 piss easy points just turn up lads"

Well i'm sure they won't mind then when Harry calls them all in tomorrow for extra training

Who picked the team and set them up to play that way? er that will be Arry then!:bang: Our Manager is a an overatted pumped up ex cockney Car dealer loved by the media because of his inability to keep his mouth shut but tatically clueless. We have just lost at home to the worst team in the leaugue who scored in the 2nd minute and we couldn't even get a goal back. We just kicked long balls up to that lanky streak of piss Rodney Trotter who as usual has produced nothing in a spurs shirt! We got rid of him as kid and Del Boy signs him of the 4th time in his career!!!!!!!!!? Why? Like i said the day he arrived at WHL we will go nowhere under him. Who knows what other crap players he may try to bring to the club in January Lua Lua Vieria Muntari James Anton Ferdinand Reo Coker? New Manager please!!

And the award for **** of the day goes to.......

Did you think today was the way forward?

What, leave our top goalscorer on the bench against a team in the relagation zone is the way forward?
Not sure why Defoe needs to buck his ideas up, and be dropped when all he did was miss a penalty against Everton, and the fact he has been our most consistent scorer.
Are you forgetting he also scored in that game?

Just so gutted that we should have got 6 points from this game and Stoke, yet happy we're still up there with reason for optimism for the rest of the season.

This forum lurches so much from ecstasy to dispair it's unreal yet compelling to read.

Isn't that the Spurs way ?

Keane and Crouch partnership = disaster.

All ready tried against Arsenal, Stoke and Everton (CUP). The two league games delivered zero points and zero goals.

They would also go down in the record books for being the slowest strike force pairing since the premier leagie began.

If an alien landed and we had to sum up tottenham for them, we couldn't go far wrong in showing them the wigan, stoke, wolves and united cup games.

9 goals against wigan, equals the record. World class attackers, stout defence. None of the current top 4 have got near humiliating a prem team to this extent. Therefore, we are brilliant.

Stoke and Wolves. Can't score a single goal in around 200 minutes of football, with the same players who scored 9. Against 2 teams who mostly use their shins to control the ball, we accumulate roughly zero points. Thats a bit weird isn't it? Or was the wigan game the anomally?

Then the united cup game, we rolled over against an 11, possibly the equal of the other 3 highlighted. (Remind the alien that this was a one off cup game with players expected to stake a claim for a premiership start, in one of the most famous football grounds in the world.) Yet again though, we didnt score, and rolled over without a whimper.

Given that any alien that landed would have to be of more advanced intelligence than us, maybe it could work out whether we are a good team or a fucking shit one. Because Tottenham Hotspur FC is like a cloud of contradictions, that rains droplets of confusion into a spoon that has WTF engraved into the handle.

This club is driving me insane.

Exactly. It's time to be realistic, top 4 really isn't gonna happen even if I dream it will. There's too much going against it, Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City all have better teams then we currently do and 4 of those 5 clubs managers have been highly successful where as our manager is good but he's not triffic, he'll keep us in the top half no doubt but you only have to look at the way he set the team out against Chelsea and Arsenal to know that we won't challenge them and i'm not bashing Harry, I love the fella, he's just not a world beater like a Ferguson or a Mourinho.

On the plus side, we only need another 13 points and we should be safe from relegation for another season, much better than last year

I'm not trying to be negative, just looking at it realistically. Our stadium at present isn't big enough to compete aginst the 5 teams mentioned, you can add Villa to that list aswell. When we reach 60,000 I might think differently.

We spend way to much on rubbish players like Bentley, what a waste that was, possibly the worst big money signing in our clubs history bar Rebrov.

The fans put too much pressure on the club to succeed at the highest level (we are all guilty of that), we need to accept that we wil never be a Man U or Chelsea, they are the clubs that will always attract the mega star players, occasionally you might get one if your lucky like Berbatov but they soon realise what a mistake they've made and eventually push for a big club move just like he did. Modric will probably do the same at some point.

Now onto a few players, Keane  Good player but tries to hard and ends up messing up the whole attack, shouldn't be club captain, strikers should not be captains end of. Call me an oldie but a defender should be captain, they can see whats going on from the back to the front, a striker shouldn't have the responsibilty of scoring the goals and leading the whole team.

Palacios, a great talent but we just rely on him too much and it's starting to hurt him now, you can't expect one man to hold a team together every single game, it's just too much for him.

Defoe, an awesome player at times but wastes too many chances.

King, please for the good of a settled back four, retire. Bringing him back for 2 games every 2 months is not gonna settle a back four, it just isn't no matter how good the player is.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Before Bentley signed, every man on here were salivating at the prospect of him signing from Blackburn and I dont recall any eyebrows ebing raised about the amount he cost at the time. 11 mil for Rebrov to me was a bargain at the time. It was not his fault that Glenn Hoddle did not like or use him. A very good but ill used striker.

I do however agree with the rest of the assessment :hump:.

Yup, and i both love it and hate it. Knowing spurs, we will just have to beat Burnley away to get top 4 and........ well, you know the rest .

Anyone else know what happened with bae? Just seem a report that joe Jordan had to drag him off a "fan" at the end of the game who was verbally abusing him.

I've just had a text from NOTW Nicdic saying:

Apparantly some fan mouthed off at BAE walking down the tunnel, BAE grabbed him by the throat and had to be pulled off him by Joe Jordan. The fan has now made a statement.

But remember, this is Nicdic and the NOTW.....So it might not have been BAE, might not have been Joe Jordan and might not have been a fan.:)

And as it's NOTW I expect to read about the fan, photographed stripped to his knickers for a full BAE kiss and tell over my sunday lunch.
