So hard to pick one, VDV, Ginola or King. Players who knew what it meant to pull on the white shirt. To name a few more I’d go with Lamela, Paul Robinson and even Freud. Yeah Freud wasn’t great but he absolutely got what it meant to wear the shirt.
Ah, dear Freud. His psychology never quite catapulted him.to.the higher echelons of football. Suffered from shyness in the showers.

This is tough, cos I feckin loved Berba. And Teddy. But now I love Keane, and Ledley and Lennon!! It's so difficult!!
Not difficult any more.

Comfortably Luka Modric. Could watch him play football forever.

Kane MIGHT have surpassed him but for the summer, Bale, VDV, Sonny would be up there too but nobody comes close to Modric for me.

I'd take him back into our midfield now even at his age

Didn't modric kick up more of a stink than Kane ever did? If you're judging on that. Chicken badge and a strop spring to mind.

Good choice though.

He did initially but once he came back that season he had an amazing season and was easily one of the best players in the league that season. He knuckled down and earned his move to Madrid.

On the flip side Kane looks to have, so far, done the opposite.

I just can't go for players who left for better things elsewhere. Its understandable to an extent but Bale, Modric, Berbatov, Keane, Eriksen, Walker, etc can do one as far as I'm concerned.
I still hold close to my heart VdV, Lennon, Dawson. King obviously. Lloris has been fantastic. Could have left at any point recently but just got on with it.
Keane broke my heart going to Liverpool. Came back but like when a girlfriend does it, its not the same after she's been pumped by someone else.
A favourite? Hmmm. Toughie.
Not my best player but my favourite, I'll go with Dawson. Bled for the club. Nothing but 100% every single time he took to the pitch. Cut him in half it says Spurs inside.
I wish more players were like him.
I also rate him as one of the best PL Defenders we have had. A proper defender.
Vdv a very very close 2nd.
King 3rd

My favourite, and this will be a strange pick, is Carrick. Now I understand his body of work at spurs isn't very large, but alas, we love who we love.

He was the reason I chose to support Spurs and i was gutted when we sold him.

Since then VDV set my heart on fire and a few others. But Carrick will always be my sweet prince

He was outstanding. Spurs fell apart when he left and it took years to have a cohesive cm again. Oh to have a Carrick now. What a player. Was criminal he wasn't in the national side as a mainstay.

All of the older generation of Spurs fan I speak with say he was absolutely amazing. Wish I'd seen him play.
If you haven’t already googled his best goals do so, it’s all goal of the month stuff.
Unfortunately no one has got enough time to sit down and put a compilation together of his assists and magic!

I am surprised so few people have suggested Modric. A truly magical player I could quite happily watch a match just concentrating on him.

Dawson is a good shout, I missed him from my list. Like you, my favourite players are the ones who knew what it meant to pull on the white shirt. Some of my favourites may not have been the best but they always gave 100% and still hold the club in high regard.
