Gazza probably started supporting spurs the year after Hoddle left ?, would have loved to seen a few seasons of Hoddle

Started going to Spurs when very young earliest memory was Hoddle just walking through teams and his ridiculous passes. Loved Archibald& Crooks. We sat in west stand so always had a good view of Tony Galvin marauding down the wing. But all round I’d have to say peak Bale just the power and the pace never seen anything like it absolute physical freak amazing to watch.

Interesting how few have picked or even mentioned Kane. And I’m not even sure that’s to do with current situation.

I was thinking the same with Kane. Being a current player I didn't even really consider him. My mind goes to those who once played rather than those currently playing.

It is very era and age driven as well. I was perhaps too young to see Hoddle but nearly everyone has said Hoddle.

I think Kane is just too current for consideration but give it time and he will float towards newer fans memories and I would certainly have his higher up in my thoughts (Anderton still wins........)

I think this guy embodied the sprit of the club and we could do with a couple of his clones.

Steve Perryman.

Still remember the Goon game where he took a whack and carried on playing for a bit with an eye that looked more like a hard boiled egg. Not flashy but a leader.

Dean Austin.

Was my idol growing up. Loved the guy and when I wrote to him, I got a few signed pics back. Now, he's obviously not the best player to play for us or anywhere near and this is a purely sentimental choice. But if I didn't allow sentiment to rule how I view football, I probably wouldn't support Tottenham.

As an 80s child, it was/is Hoddle Hoddle Hoddle.

we have been blessed with many amazing players over the years, but nobody (not even peak Gazza or Bale) comes close.

The two stand outs for me are Ledley King and Glenn Hoddle. Harry Kane could join them, but I'll judge that once he's retired.

I always had a soft spot for Micky Hazard when I was a kid.

In terms of excitement and entertainment it would be Ginola, Waddle, Gazza, Bale, VDV

For me has to be Hoddle, although Gazza was pretty special. Was too young to see Mackay or Greaves but am I am sure they would have been right up there.

I just remember watching Hoddle and wondering how he could spray those passes around so accurately. It felt like he was threading the eye of the needle with the times the ball arrived at perfect pace and on a 6 pence to setup Archibald and Crooks. Then the shooting off both feet. Cannot even guess how much he would be worth in todays market.
