Throw everything at N'Dombele

His price will be going up and up and we'll get nothing for Dembele now. Even when it was rumoured we could get in excess of 20m for Dembele we wouldn't have bid anywhere near enough for N'Dombele to be interest Lyon IMO.

All the more reason we should be going after Berge now. Went back and read some posts from the summer, Hercules said we were very aware and price was around 15mil. Watching clips of the kid he is definitely worth the risk at that sort of number. I was disappointed with the link in the summer due to how the summer transpired, the kid isn't going to turn our season around but the potential is massive. Would be especially important with how Dier & Wanyama have performed this season.

If this is still the arena we are going to work in transfer wise we need to be doing more of these high potential buys from smaller leagues like Foyth & Berge. Bailey from Leverkusen another great example, he was pretty highly touted when he was at Genk himself and moved for only 20mil. He's now likely worth 3-4x that number.

Hopefully we can start purchasing some property in Mayfair, diversify our portfolio to help build the value of the club, also should purchase some gold with any sales of star players, and buy a couple of youngsters for 3 pennies and a can of beans in the hope of future sale of 100m to purchase more property and gold, anything left over pay for some quality electricians, we will soon have space for the biggest empty trophy cabinet in the whole wide world...

Berge does look a prospect and would be pretty happy if we got him but he is a DM rather then a CM and we really need a b2b CM. I also don't think Poch would put him ahead of Vic or Dier so not sure how much game time he would get. Still, wouldn't be a bad signing at all from what I have seen.

I think Vic is on his way out, rumors were all over that this summer and Windy confirmed that (if he counts as a confirmation). Maybe through training and smaller cup games Berge would be able showcase his talent.

Seeing Diers form this season and Wanyama I think we need to upgrade both midfield spots.

Oh I agree that our DM slot has been questionable of late. And, as it is I would probably replace both. But whether Poch agrees is another matter. Just feel that if the next player we by isn't a CM then something is very, very wrong.

Think we're past that unfortunately as seemingly the only player we got semi close to singing this summer was an attacking midfielder/#10 type.

that's your view, he might of not scored the goals for us, but still contributed big time to our 2nd place finish. it's never easy at a new club a new country to slot straight in, and if personal problems happen then that can have an effect (THAT IS ITK I know his uncle), even a player like Saldado struggled.
I think it’s stretching it to say he contributed big time to our 2nd place finish , he contributed zero time really

everyone that put a shirt on contributed. I wished he had scored the goals but shit happens, after watching football for over 40years I have seen strikers just like Janssen and Saldado play for Spurs, that have had poor seasons, the only difference is they where given more chances. Janssen was shipped out and been injured more than anything since.

He got a really good stretch in that season where Kane was out for a few months and did a whole lot of nothing. I don't think you're going to convince anyone he was some sort of different maker.

Poch also watches these guys every single day in training and he has deemed he has no value to the squad. Do I think he could give us more than Llorente, maybe but not a whole lot based off what we've seen since his move from Holland.

Pointless continuing with someone that expects perfection (especially someone that's been watching the game for 5 mins compared to someones 44 years) , or not willing to give a player any credit. he started 7 league games which we never lost. he might of only scored 2 goals, 1 was pretty crucial in getting us a point v Leicester, whether it's from the spot or not (ask Mahrez). he only got 2 assist but was involved in more. 1 of those assist was v Swansea in a game we was close to losing, that assist helped put us in front, and after went on a very good run.

for 3 seasons Kane never scored in August, and in those 9 games he missed some sitters, but he worked hard, and knew he was 1st choice. when trying to compete and trying to displace someone like Kane is never going to be easy, but when he played he tried too hard, and missing a few chances (seen Kane miss easier) it plays on the mind. Poch and the club made a mistake in not checking his work rate, and his training effort before he joined. they also never gave him a start in matches we needed someone to hold it up.

I know he never scored enough, but I think you will find we never lost a game he started in either. yes I know he struggled, but there was reasons why he struggled, he struggled to settle in a new country, he struggled to compete in a totally different league, and he struggled to cope with splitting up with his partner (childhood sweetheart). the training was most probably out his league, and his head wasn't right.

this will be the last time I reply to you on this subject, especially someone that keeps going on about signing players and doesn't understand we NEED TO FIND HG or we won't have a squad to compete in the league or CL, it will be like carrying injuries without them being injured

Congratulations on being older than me and getting to watch more football. Doesn't mean your opinions are correct. I've been watching for over a decade thank ya very much.

Not once have I ever said I demand perfection from our backup striker. But I do expect to be able to score a goal more than once every 8 games from open play. You just basically said he wasn't good enough so I don't understand what you're arguing? Are we counting non-losses as a striker statistic now? We only lost 3 games in the whole league, so great for him, Sissoko, Nkoudou, etc.

I also don't understand the HG stuff? I've stated all along we are fine with HG as soon as we move on some of the players we need to. You can also just not register them like we've done with Vinny... but alas Levy wouldn't do that with 4 or so players.

Honestly when you look at our squad dier/ wanyama really stick out as a level below. No other top 6 would be interested in them. Ok I know mourinho was into dier but that’s when he was half decent. And going by the current united midfield I’d hardly call it a glowing recommendation. The more you kind of step back and look at it, the more glaringly Obvious it is.

We have just been linked with a move for Genoa's 23 year old polish striker Krzysztof Piatek. Been very impressed with him and his style of play, he's already scored 13 goals in 8 games this season. He is currently Europe's leading goalscorer I believe. He has the talent to go to the very top and this is no doubt our only chance to buy him. Although he has also been linked with other top clubs.

And here is a squawka report for those interested.

That CM area lacks quality no question even more baffling that it wasn't addressed during the summer we look very ordinary in there now even more amazing is how well placed in the league we are.
