Art collection[edit]
Lewis' vast art collection, estimated to be worth $1 billion, includes works by Picasso, Matisse, Lucian Freud and sculptor Henry Moore.[6] Lewis bought Francis Bacon's Triptych 1974–1977 in 2008 for £26.3 million,[21] then a record for postwar artwork bought in Europe.[22]

Theres our new stadium and enought to completely transform our club right there.

Tosser. He doesnt give a toss about Spurs. He is a businessman and its all about profit.

You do realise you don't have to include your IQ in your username....although it does give people a prior warning that the post they're about to read is written by a complete simpleton.
You really don't understand what you're talking about and it makes me cringe when you try.

Really? Why bother going to all that hassle? If you want to keep a record of your fine work, take a screenshot, print it and stick it up on the back of your loo door. That's about all the use it will have.

To those who don't get to read it before it gets changed back:

Mental.
I can't even read it, it's so badly written.

No one buys a football club for a profit, nearly every single one of the top flights are in massive debt.
He brought us for profit mate, once the stadium is built they club will look for a new owner imo

Also Milan Mandaric made a profit from a football club as have the Glazers.

But if he leaves us in a state better off than when he bought us surely it benifits everyone? I just see the peopel shouting ENIC out and cant believe any of them rememember what we were like during the Sugar era..... I don't see an argument at all. Other clubs have been bought by "rich men", QPR, Cardiff, Villa were doing better than them.

Lewis hosts the Tavistock Cup tournament every March in Florida, raising millions of dollars for charity. He also overseas the transfer window at Tottenham Hotspur with the sole objective of delivering a negative net spend, which he and his laughing boy Daniel are achieving at each transfer window.

Lol, just... lol.

Am I missing something?

What isn't true about what I said?

Amazing training ground, infrastructure improved. The playing staff is in decline and will continue to do so, but it doesn't make any difference does it.

Our manager merry go round has to stop. Even if we struggle and end up 10th for two seasons running, we need to stand firm until the stadium is built.

Can't believe he hasn't backed the manager after handing him a 5 year contract.

What makes you think Poch isn't being backed ? Have you read any of the ITK ?

Have you seriously only just realised this now? Lewis is the man that made a massive amount of his money as a currency trader betting that the pound would crash out of the ERM that was dubbed Black Wednesday back in 92.

He is a businessman and will always look to make the best business decision. Why are people surprised by this.

FYI most economists refer to it as White Wednesday now. Unleashed from the shackles of the Exchange Rate Mechanism we were able to cut interest rates, allow the pound to fall to market rate and there followed 10 years of unbroken growth. Just saying

Not to get into politics in this thread but isn't that an attempt by conservatives to paint the disaster of joining the ERM and then costing the tax payer massive amounts of money attempting to prop up the pound in the lead up to Black Wednesday as a good thing?

I see the BSODL's have turned into BSOJL's now also. Speak one work bad about any of them and you get shit on. Our owners are too frugal to even spend a fucking dime on the club. The clubs paying for the stadium with the money from sponsorships, the -£40m net spend over the last 5 or 6 windows(counting this past one) and the added tv money. Thats it. Our owners arent paying for shit. Just lining levy's pocket a bit more with pay rises.

/cue the BSODL's/BSOJL's rising to the defense of daddy with the negs(y):finger:

Without repeating much of the obvious and correct responses to the rather ridiculous OP, it must be clear to all fans what sort of a club we are at present.

Having an extremely rich owner does not put us in any sort of bracket that the Chelsea's, Man City's, Newcastle's and Blackburn's have previously enjoyed. Our extremely rich owner does not see THFC as is hobby / passion. THFC is an investment. The club has undoubtedly grown in stature during the ENIC ownership but I don't think Daniel Levy as a major stakeholder foresees investment from above (or his own pocket) to rival the top Premiership clubs. He is happy with a vision of breaking even in the transfer market, "buying low selling high" type investment in players whilst balancing this with some edge of competitiveness. His work will be undone if we finish 10th every year. Getting into the CL is the prize he seeks, not challenging for titles in order to keep us profitable. And he wants to do this by balancing his and Joe Lewis's investment.

And this is where I think Spurs as a community will have a problem in the future. Yes we moan about everything and I am a stern supporter of DL in all my posts, but I know that if we do achieve regular CL football through some miracle brought about by our manager, we will not push on for further honours (similar to the complaints of Arsenal). As an investment, CL football is enough.

But we need not worry about that in the short term anyway. At that stage, ENIC may seek to sell.

Writing stuff on wikipedia is the internet equivalent of scrawling some girls name and the phrase "she puts out for everybody" on the back of a shithouse door in the school bathrooms. Going on a forum and boasting about your daring exploits is the same as having a wank in that bathroom after you wrote on the door. Enjoy your adolescent years, they'll be gone soon.
