Simon Gleave, head of sports analysis, Gracenote

There are 105 possible scenarios for the Champions League draw - at 11:00 GMT on Friday - which will also determine the semi-final line-ups.

Nine out of those 105 scenarios involve the four English clubs all being drawn against each other - an 8.6% chance.

Out of the total possible draws, 72 scenarios have exactly one all-English tie - that's 68.6%.

Therefore, the chance of all four English clubs avoiding each other in the quarter final draw is 22.9%

Whatever the draw there is a 99% chance that someone on SC will say the draw is fixed. There is a 100% chance that more than one such numpty exists.

Wish I was Smart enough to understand the rational

Just an hour away then until we're pitted against Barcelona and Liverpool match up against Porto. Liverpool of course playing the second leg at home. :cautious:

Ive supported Spurs long enough to know that we will not draw Porto or Ajax, that will be reserved for Liverpool and City.

I think City continue their astonishing luck of getting easy cup drawers and either get Porto, Ajax or ourselves.

Probably look like this::

Man City v Spurs
Man Utd v Liverpool
Barcelona v Ajax
Juve v Porto

Change any one of porto, ajax and us around. Hope Im wrong though.

According to the UEFA 5-year Club Ranking only Ajax are lower than us still left in the draw

It's annoying that whatever team gets us they will be delighted
I'm happy to go in to games as the underdog to be honest.

Ex Ajax player muhren is praying that Ajax meet Spurs as its a gimme in his eyes .
For myself there are no gimmes but to return the snipe I would not mind Ajax as I believe that there great victory over Madrid says more about where Madrid are at this moment rather than how good Ajax are .
Just to add that ex players that air such views are not very clever because it gives the opposition an extra incentive to beat someone who considers them a gimme.

I suspect he’s just looked at our recent results, and fair enough, we’re in poor form.

Reckon we will get Man Utd. My only reasoning for this is I’m sure Uefa have said Man Utd have to play the first leg at home no matter how the draw comes out as they can’t play on same night at home as Man City or Conscutive nights. So my theory is that UEFA will want to make sure we have time to make sure the ground is ready so by us playing Man Utd ensues we will have the maximum amount of time.
