I don't really see his point. Liverpool have had the same time to prepare? I don't see how it is an advantage just because injured players may make it back.to fitness. Same could be said for Salah, Firmino I'm sure.

Anyway. It's just soundbytes.

3 weeks pause is a huge advantage to us imo. We were in dire form while Liverpool had won 15 or so on the bounce. 3 weeks off "resets" both teams form and anything could happen. I'd me a lot more worried if we played the weekend after the Everton game!

Man City and Ajax had both won about 450 in a row when we played them. I much prefer it when we’re written off (as we rightly should’ve been against those 2 considering our league form).

With that said, we’ve still been written off by almost everyone so I’m happy enough.

I still get an automatic semi when I think of the words ‘Champions of Europe’.

Whereas if they’d been playing Ajax then Pool would have the advantage and that’s ok then

He didn't say advantage. He said it favours us which is true.

If we take his words as those of a Liverpool fan then all he's saying is it's better for Spurs than it is for Liverpool which pisses him off. We would say the same thing if it was the other way around.

Anyway, not sure why I'm defending him as I despise Liverpool and Carragher and wouldn't be surprised if a load of fans were saying it isnt fair and an advantage for us.

They could have oxlaide chamberlain back. It would be typical of an ex arsenal player to come on and do something for them.
