Has there been any explanation as to why its taking so long to reschedule our game with Arsenal (and all the other games for that matter). FA Cup semis are draw, CL quarters are drawn... its crazy that the season ends in May and we still dont know when the games are... what are they waiting for?

Us having Burnley home while they have Newcastle away the following weekend after a Thursday game is another little plus for us. Sure Arteta will have a good moan ?

The broadcasters want to delay for as long as possible because they want to show the games that have the most on the line, simple as that. It's entirely deliberate.

Exactly and to be honest, I genuinely dont blame them. Some will have a go at them but I have no issue with trying to maximise opportunities. I am sure also places like pubs etc would want this. So all in all I see no issue.

Yeh I have no issue with them putting it where they have now, just wonder why it took so long to announce! Also why the hell on a Thursday, whats wrong with a Wednesday? (Messes up my 5aside schedule ffs!)

I bet they had a result predictor exercise looking at all the games we had and predict the results etc which leads to the precise moment it will be like at its most important and critical. They were waiting to see the form, the results so far and I am presuming other factors like policing etc

This entire race for fourth brings back Leicester City memories... where it was out of our hands - horrible feeling

oh and the Man City one

So basically chosen the day that suits Arsenal most with 3 days off either side and we get 4 days off then 2. That 2 days with a 12pm kick off is not right but thankfully both games are at home.

The Burnley 12pm game is a shocker! We play Thursday night and Burnley fans have to set off at 5am. What other games are played that day? They better be bloody Box Office!

We both have 2 straight forward games after the NLD so we need to be within 2 points I think by the time we play them

My concern would be the high emotion of Thursday night and then Burnley 12pm on Sunday seems so soon

Looks like this is all due to the fact the Fa Cup Final is on Saturday, so no PL Games on that day:

*Edit as not sure if allowed to post full fixtures. But the crux is we are at noon. 5 games at 2pm, then gooners on Monday and a few on the following Thursday. Soton vs LFC, WHU vs City and Utd vs Chelsea tbc depending on if they make the final.

I love the optimism haha - it reminds me of so many situations... I remember the time we had to play Chelscum and Arse in a week and we beat them both (I think Bale scored in both games) - think if we are in with a chance we wont bottle those two games.

Shame about Olise but at least Zaha is playing. We really need Arsenal to drop points tonight and start feeling the pressure

Hopefully both Burnley and Norwich relegated by then. But that also means arse last two games mean nothing as there teams will be safe Newcastle and Everton

Arse only have to win game in hand (palace) and then only 2 points behind Chelsea, sat massive for them then as home to Brighton Chelsea away and then play each other. Chelsea could be brought right back in it. Let’s hope Chelsea stay in Europe to the semis
TBH I'd rather Chelsea stays in CL and we pip Arsenal.

Missing CL again would be a disaster for the 'momentum'/rebuild they're going through.

Feel this is one of the games Arsenal could realistically drop points in. Looks like it might happen. Come on Palace, we need this.

A few months ago I'd given up all realistic hope of top 4. It is now very much in our hands.
