This is all AZ's fault, its obvious.
The things of VJ reminds me of Berahino, Schneiderlin, Willian, and so on.
brilliant. Berahino saga all over again.
Any need for that?Aaaaand a swing and a miss. Better luck next time
I've not been following this but did AZ state a price? Did we offer that price and they then upped it? Or have we been lowballing them? (which really really wouldn't be the greatest shock in the world)It can only be about AZ wanting more money for him and it seems to be pissing the lad off.

Last week, AZ technical director Max Huiberts revealed a Spurs bid for the player had been rejected and that the delays in agreeing a deal are frustrating Janssen.
"I've made my choice clear to the club," Janssen told AD on Thursday.
"In my view, Tottenham Hotspur have made a big offer. There was an offer of about €18 million. But AZ doesn't even want to sit at the table.
"I would like to start preseason somewhere else as soon as possible. This is frustrating."

I'm a realist and understand the value of money, but if we miss out on another striker who we clearly are desperate to sign over £1.5m-£2m (yeah, it's a lot of money to you and me, but not in footballing terms...), I'll be wondering what direction we are expecting to head next season. Levy is always holding out for that extra few million when he's selling a player, what would make him believe other clubs aren't going to do the same?
You have to take a chance on players these days unless you want to end up paying £30m-£40m and £100k+ p/w on an established striker, which we haven't done in 3 years. Why wait another 6 months to a year and have another £10m put on his price tag?

Thanks guys, I think, for the sake of form, taking into account previous 'protracted chases' and because I know you expect it of me, i'm going with lowballing
It was bound to happen when we missed out on Bats. Not only because we lost an option, but because now AZ's chairman thinks that if Bats its worth 33, Janssen has to at least cost 20
Pay up or get Sanabria and be done with it
