The issue will be finding buyers. We will want £30m for Winks and to be fair he would have been worth that before COVID, but now we'll be lucky if anyone offers more than £25m. It will be the same all the way through the squad as we look to get the weaker players off the books.

As someone said earlier, Levy needs to be pragmatic and cut his losses. Else we'll just be left with a load of players out on loan depreciating in value.

There won't be much money around so swap deals will be the order of the day.

Clearly we'll need to prioritise which positions need strengthening. As at now, I'd imagine it's CB1, RB, MF, CB2 in that order but a lot will depend on who we can move on.
Back up for Kane could remain a conundrum. Ings would involve a significant swap (Winks?) and decent wages. There is talk that Scarlett is really impressing so we may even see him step up next season and we keep our powder dry.

There's players we'll actively be offering up and there's some we'll consider offers/deals, mindful that we won't be able to shift everyone who's not quite top drawer. As much us fans sit here saying 'he's not good enough if we want to challenge', we have to be realistic in this climate.

Staying - Lloris, Hart, Dier, Toby, Rodon, Tanganga, Davies, Reguilon, PEH, Skipp, GLC, Tanguy, Son, Bergwijn/Moura/Lamela, Kane.
Off if Deal is Right - Aurier, Foyth, Sanchez, Winks, Dele, Sissoko, Bergwijn/Moura/Lamela, Sessegnon
Likely - Doherty, CV, Bale

Imo Dier could fall into the 2nd category but alongside a leader at CB, don't discount a big improvement from him.
I've lumped Bergwijn, Moura & Lamela together as 1 may go.
Do we need Sessegnon & Reguilon? I like Sess but he may be too similar and way behind Reguilon.

I agree with the 'we need to be more realistic with our expectations and targets.' I've gone from hoping we get Skriniar to expecting a CB more like Vestergaard instead which tbh would still massively improve us and knows the league.

The one part I disagree on is Sess - we often complain that we lose our attacking threat when Reguilon is out so having Sess in that could replicate it to some degree would actually help quite a lot imo.

I would love to see this as all of the players will have 12 months left on their deals so would be a lot cheaper but still not sure we could raise the funds:

Ings
Sabitzer
Vestergaard
Maignan

Lets not forget it seems we need a new Keeper as well. We cannot mess that up. And we wont have a lot for everything we need. Whoever is in charge will need to get this next window right.
If money is as tight as we're led to believe and IF Hugo does leave, then the goalkeepers position might not be seen by Levy and the rest as as pressing an issue as some other parts of the team. Ladies and gentlemen I give you..........Joe Hart.

I'd laugh myself into a fit if that happened, the reaction on here would be a sight worth seeing.

They should arrest Levy for criminal negligence if that happens. Seems very unlikely though.

It will be down to Jose to blood the youngsters. If he can bring through White and Skipp to generate value for Levy, then I think he’d be happier to sell Winks for a lower fee. Giving our youngsters opportunities is a really sensible way to ease the financial burden for many reasons.

I hope we can utilise White, Devine, Clarke and Cirkin more next season which will allow us to just sell squad players without replacing them. Especially Clarke shouldn't do worse than anyone else as a backup winger next year. As long as he puts a shift in and can help somewhat in attack.

I don't think he's that bad - most 2nd string keepers are a bit rusty at times.

Problem is, some of the "great" goalkeepers, by repute, like Casillas and Valdes, are often flattered by the fact that they faced far less shots that a better keeper in a worse team ever would.

That's why I am chips in for Pope, as opposed to the likes of Donnarumma or another team's "top keeper" like Oblak.

Last thing we'd want is another Kepa.

People seem to assume we will be able to get rid of the players jose doesn't want. I think DL has proven over many years that this will not likely be the outcome.

Not at all. Only in the later Poch years. We've seldom had an issue before that and always got good fees for average players

Only have to look at a few weeks ago, it seems the only reason dele is still here is because of levy

There is a lot of work to be done, no doubt about it.

We aren't going ro be able to completely transform our squad in one window, especially with the financial situation.

We will need to raise funds where we can so that means certain players need to leave, I don't expect the dominoes to start falling quickly in the summer. I think there will be a lot of revising of prices as the window goes on.

Personally think the following need to go as they have value and will allow us to address our major concerns.

Winks, Dele, Hugo, Doc/Aurier, Dier/Sanchez & Gazzaniga.

Think we will need to be smart with our loans as I know Hercs has safe before that loan fees are bigger than what we expect.

Tanganga, Clarke, White, Parrott, Cirkin can all get loans to Prem/Championship sides hopefully.

I don't think Davies, Sissoko, Lucas, Lamela & Toby make much sense to sell and they should all be squad players next year.

Sess and Skipp obviously come back into the squad.

Leaving us the following

Replace Hugo
Right Back
Centre Back
Attacking Midfielder/ Right Winger
Back up forward

You can see how hard it will be, just looking at the above and the numbers don't seem to add up. Hope Jose has identified reasonable targets in our key areas as we clearly don't have the ability to be spending big net this summer.

If we're selling one or both our current RB's, Tanganga has to stay. Jose already said that he's Japhet as a fullback and I'd rather we keep him and also give him Doherty's minutes in place of loaning him out.

Wonder if worth a cheeky bit to Man U for van der Beek?

He should never have gone there to be fair and would slot in alongside PEH for us.

I’m imagining the Blood Shower club scene from the movie Blade. Minus the music, cool clothes, vampires, Traci Lords and some dude killing everyone with a samurai sword.

I think this would probably finish poor @yankspurs off.
