That was a hard watch tonight. Richy did ok first half but how he hasn’t hit the target I don’t know . Kulu loads of running and got into some great positions but end product seems to be letting him down more of than not at the moment. Romero was unreal. Big mention to Bassey

really? i agree that last 20 minutes was incohesive with a team that hasn't played much but the rest of it, we were very good

Very good performance. Created a number of chances but often seemed reluctant to shoot. Noticed that PEH and Skipp showed they are susceptible to losing possession when pressed, although overall PEH played well.
Romero outstanding

Must be the only one who felt like Fulham were never scoring. We could still be playing and I don't think they'd get one.

Gotta be honest, didn't like the second half at all. From the kick-off we were sloppy, went 2-0 up in spite of the performance for those first 10 second half minutes, and then the last part of the game was deliberately negative go nowhere fucking around possession at the back that nearly got, and probably deserved, getting punished.

On the plus side, thought for a good hour of the match that was our best (counter) pressing effort so far under AP. The press/squeeze forcing two turnover goals obviously the eye catching moments, but in general across the pitch I thought our ball recoveries and pressure during those initial seconds of transition to close down the ball were at times really good.

Another win, some more momentum built, and with the game Friday now an opportunity to really set out a stake and put the chasing pack under a little pressure.

It wasn’t quite as free flowing as it could’ve been but Fulham held a shape but it certainly wasn’t a ‘hard watch’ 🤣🤦‍♂️

Taking Son, Maddison and Richarlison off when we had already swapped Sarr and Udogie on top of Bissouma being suspended was very risky. I get we need to use the squad, but that many key players swapped out has a huge impact on our structure.

A better team than Fulham would have scored against us today.
Maybe that’s the point though. Even with them on we shouldn’t be giving up a two goal lead. Saves the main men for Friday and also shows the strength in depth is lacking. He trusted them not to get beat and we didn’t. These players won’t be here this time next year.

Agreed. It was a bit messy but I was relaxed pretty much throughout the second half.

The way Lo Celso played the ball to Skipp who did not anticipate it at all and let it rolled out for a Fulham throw while not even looking at him says everything about these 2nd stringers.
